Current favorite album: The Young and Famous - Passive Me, Aggressive You (2010)
Young Blood (Definitly their most popular single, too)
Girls like You (my current favorite)
Also really liking Jilted Lovers, but cant find it on the web exept for a little "preview" when they talk about the creation of the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRma3TKtEx8&playnext=1&list=PLE6E5FD6D9181396F
Another quite popular track even though I like most others of the album better: Punching in a Dream

They kinda remind me of Thermostatic with a more serious and deeper sound, even though Thermostatic could be quite serious lyrically, too (and Thermostatic had their dark sounds, too: My Ship)

Really love the sound of naked and famous. Brilliant relatively new indie band from new zealand <3

While looking for songs for another thread I stumbled across the following song:

Kaoma- Bantu

Great song! I can’t stop listening to it and listening to it makes me want to get up and start dancing. The rhythm of this song is contagious and energizing. :)

The new music I'm listening to right now is mainly from Britney's Femme Fatale. Yeah. Her voice is almost non-existent, as usual, but the songs are catchy as hell. My favourites are actually the bonus tracks lol. Hold It Against Me is another fav although many didn't like it. It was something different for her. This is her best album. Gotta say she's looking hot too, almost like her old self.

My musical standards are pretty low though. As long as it has a cool beat I'll like it regardless of lyrical content (or lack thereof). This doesn't apply to just Pop though. People these days rebuke things like Pop/Rap etc in an attempt to seem edgy/cool/non-conformist, when in reality their underground selections are almost all just as meaningless. Still, I listen to every main genre except Country.

I saw some GaGa discussion a couple pages back, and while I don't like her new album overall, I heard Heavy Metal Lover this morning and nearly exploded. Seriously, I'm obsessed. This is her best song ever, at least to me.

Heavy Metal Lover, seriously? I don't see anything special about that song. Overall I find this LP lot weake then the first one. There are some catchy songs, ofcourse, such as Born this Way, Edge of Glory and Judas, also some with quiet interesing lyrics, Government Hooker and Bloody Marry, but all in all it does not impress me much.

Best song for me on it would probably be Marry the Night.

Yeah I told ya my standards are low. Its the beat and the chorus repetition. Apart from that, Schiesse, Judas and Bloody Mary are the only ones I like. The rest range from meh to just bad. She seems to be trying too hard to make a statement or whatever. The Fame was miles better. Beyonce's new offering sounds like crap too. These divas need to go back to basics. Femme Fatale is perfect Pop because its not taking itself too seriously and trying to be edgy.

Most mainstream artist I like probably is Adele.
Set fire to the rain
Her great songs also make a good basis for remixes:
Hometown Glory (High Contrast Remix)
I love you <3. Adele is one of my favorites.

---

Arctic Monkeys and Panic! at the Disco are my favorite bands in today's music. Though I do perfer their older music.
Like their older songs:
The View From The Afternoon.
and
I Constantly Thank God For Esteban

But... I admit I love Glee. I am in love with Darren Criss and I've loved him since before glee.... "Human" by him has made me cry. And his song 'Not Alone' has always been one of my favorites since I saw it in "A Very Potter Musical".

Then Adele.... I lover her song "I Found a Boy" it's just great.

I talk to much....

I been digging Lasers a lot when it came out. And a few song still remained on my PLs.

As for pop, just got to check out J.Los Love? and Beyoncé's 4. Anyone else heard those pieces? I'd like to hear a second opinion.

Jennifer Lopez - On The Floor is such a pathetic copy of Stereo Love. Honestly, I don't see why so many people dig that. I hate that song. =(

...and how many times has Pitbull used "dale" this year in his features? :XD

Haven't heard much from Beyonce's new LP. Don't like her new music much nowadays tbh. Looking forward to hearing the next LP by Leona Lewis when it comes out! Last album I really enjoyed listening to over and over again would be The Sounds - Something To Die For~ :3
