I don't think Natsu is going to end up with another girl. Same thing goes for Lucy.
But since Mashima said so, there is a high possibility that they will stay friends in the end of this story.
Mashima said he liked Natsu, Lucy AND HAPPY together, so it does not mean romance.
He is going to draw romance of Gajevy, Gruvia or Gerza as canon, but as for Nalu, he seems to want them to stay best friends or something with Happy.

If y'all don't think NaLu's going to happen read Rave Master then comeback because Hiro's noted multiple times that what Elie is to Haru is what Lucy is to Natsu and vice versa. NaLu is definitely going to happen

Not saying it's not going to happen. But it's a different dynamic from the other pairings, which are strictly romance based.

And Haru and Elie were more developped when it came to romance. Obvious Haru in love and obvious Elie in love. They could have been already canon by the middle of the story if they already dared confess.(well they did get interrupted most of the times by some accidents or whatever lol ) Natsu/Lucy's dynamics can't really compare to theirs. It's more friendship based for those two.
I started thinking Mashima perhaps wanted to develop more romance between them after the 1-year time-skip. But the new infos say no? Oh well I like their friendship enough but I know there are nalu shippers who could be disatisfied with that one.

I don't think he meant their dynamics were the same but their feelings towards each other are. Hiro has given them a lot more screen time after the 1 year timeskip and they've been getting a lot of intimate scenes as of late. There really isn't anything concrete with this info either.

絶対に < i'm a amateur but i think it's mean Absolutely (ahmadrizqik could confirm it :P )

From my understanding, "絶対に" (zettai ni) means absolutely/definitely. But it also can be translated as never. It depends on the sentence. The point is, we can't translate word by word, must know the whole sentence.

I think NatsuLuu will happen but in the very end of this series.

My faith in Hiro Mashima is weaker now but i won't give up on Nalu... According to the manga , covers and his tweets i can obviously see that he wants nalu as well. Nalu is a pairing shipped by many fans actually probably most of the fans. After many research i found that The voice actor said she heard that Mashima never pictured Natsu and Lucy romance but this is not confirmed yet tho it will be released in the new volume. There is no need for Hiro to draw them many times together in ovas, Ft specials , manga and his twitter if he won't make them canon... At this point i hope he redeem what was said about Nalu before some crazy fan hurt him.

This line of Hirano seems more likely to me...

He said そしたら絶対に描きませんって (soshitara zettai ni kakimasen tte). "imasen" is the NEGATIVE form. Therefore, he is saying he would (absolutely) not draw Nalu in that light but would draw Gruvia like that instead. (literally, "instead" その代わりに "sonokawarini")

Just as the fan service on mangaka's TWitter means jackshit, so does the claim that the mangaka doesn't care much about the pairing. What matters is what's in the manga, and if Natsu and Lucy get more moments together and end up together... well, FUCK WHAT THE MANGAKA SAYS!

THough, I thought people knew better than to believe what authors say. THey can always lie or change plans or ideas.

My take on all these comments: I'm not gonna overreact to anything Hiro says based off a loose ass Twitter forum. He could be joking, playing, fucking around. It's Hiro. We know he loves to troll us. Nothing new. I never read Rave but I know the dynamic between Haru and Elie is way way different than how Natsu and Lucy are/have been perceived. In all honesty, it makes sense for him not to put much shine on Nalu cause they're the main characters, so he wants to build up the right way and not force anything. I'm not saying the other big 4 ships are forced, but they have deff shown more "romantic" feelings towards each other, which Nalu hasn't. And that's cool. Nalu is gonna happen cause who else would end up with Natsu? Lisanna? That ship (lol not a pun) been sunked after Lisanna got irrevelant once she came back from Edolas. It was more of a puppy love type of thing. They're childhood friends with Lisanna wanting to be his "wife". Nalu literally is the type of relationship that is a marathon not a sprint...

To keep it 100, I actually like how Nalu goes about their relationship more than any other ship (I'm bias lol) it just feels... right. It'll happen when it happens
