I'd say one thing I would like Mashima for is trolling his fandom and not making the main ship canon. It'd be such a surprise, a troll and (imo) funny, though its unlikely.

Father-daughter love between Gildarts and Cana? Cana definitely loves Gildarts like a father, but Gildarts seems to love Cana as if he's secretly hoping for an incestuous relationship. It's quite disturbing.

I don't think they will stay friends. Everything points to Nalu and Mashima won't let them just friends for eternity without developing while everyone around them get developed. They're obviously the end game.

I agree with most of what you said but the main difference is that there is actual hinting that Sting and Rogue have grown closer with Yukino and Minerva respectively over the time-skip whereas Laxus and Mirajanes post time-skip interactions (if they even have any) provide no indication that they care more about each other than anyone else in the guild or have any sort of special bond. Going by what we've actually seen from these characters post time-skip, it would have made more sense for Laxus to be with the Thundergod tribe (remember that hug) and for Mirajane to be with her siblings considering those are the relationships that they care about the most, and not with each other. I honestly hate criticizing this pairing because I realize that it had a lot of potential in earlier arcs but now it seems like Hiro is trying to force a pairing to be believable through chapter covers instead of actually developing it like he did with practically every other pairing on that cover.

You are right. It would have been better if Laxus was with Raijinshuu and Mira was with her siblings, on that cover. (Even though Elfman was already with Evergreen). Besides, if I were to defend MiraxLaxus, the only proof I could provide would be the Tartaros scene...

True that some lack development/screentime, however FT is not a romance manga so I can understand the lack. If in the end Jet/Droy married a random girl, would you say it is forced? It is not forced, it is

I think he sees the younger generation as his children or nefews/nieces from the way he treats them. I think he is happy that he has a daughter especially since he loved her mother (unlike all the hos he banged) and she died. Plus, one of his guildmates is actually his child would be joyful.

Mashima know that all the fans are waiting for the couples to become official, especially the nalu,.

The Gale and the gruvia may have said that they are official, the jerza we could say so even if for the 3, there was no kiss or I love you (except for scabies).

This is really pure fan service, romance and in sum it does not bother mashima to put together the characters, it has started this romance, it is normal that it concludes to please the fan, It does not bother history.

And then we're in fairytale XD.

The problem of the nalu couple is that it has not been developed as for haru and elie.

We had a lot of nalu moment, but we do not see clearly the progression of their love.

Natsu being an idiot it is more lucy with whom one should have seen a progression, with Lucy who seduces from the seducers or to make him understand, as one can read it in fanfic.

We know that natsu holds a lot to lucy and vice versa but voila, natsu do it 4 times that he nearly died, and lucy react in a logical way to the situation but what is it waiting to tell him what it likes.

Once qe natsu will die for good will be too late XD.

After a 10 years later and the nalu be the only couple ben who is not in a couple XD I would be disappointed because incoherent for me.

If Natsu and Lucy had a kid I would want it being a girl who's a mini Natsu with aspects of Lucy. I feel like the MC having a firstborn boy is too cliche. I think it'd be a cooler dynamic too.

It's funny how Mira and Laxus interact since the Galuna Island arc and many pretend to be blind.
Is evident that both were not developed in a loving way, but their mutual respect is something admirable. I really prefer that they become a surprise couple in the end...There are already so many destroyed characters by ship during the manga.

Personally, I can see Natsu and Lucy have lots of children. Though maybe if the NaLu child is a girl, then Mashima's next series will have Haru's kid meeting with Natsu's.

1. A blonde girl to pass on the Heartfilia heritage as Layla's deal with Capricorn stated, and one to follow the tradition of the blonde reincarnated image of Anna, Layla, Lucy. She shall be the baby of the group. The cherub one that the family watches out for.....

2. A pink haired girl with Natsu's attitude that will give him fits..... To fight boys in the guild as a child, and grow up to be a babe. She shall be wild and free. Instead of needing someone to take her on adventures. She makes her own.

3. A mature pink haired boy that will be the opposite of Natsu. Like his mother, he will cherish books and pursue knowledge. He will protect his sisters and respect his parents. He still has traits of his father though.... when his sister (the wild one) annoys him too much, he snaps. Because of not letting his anger out regularly, he has a dark side worse than Natsu when he is mad.... Completely losing control in a berserk type fashion when people he loves are in danger.

4. I would say a blonde boy that looked like Natsu, but we already have Sting and Larcade (and even Sho) who fit that bill. This boy will be born blonde but dye his hair a random color to rebel against his parents. Unlike the others, he will be completely introverted like Zeref and become more antisocial as he ages. He doesn't pursue knowledge like his brother or Zeref, but he doesn't run from it either. He's just a bit odd.

5. In spirit with the guild, they should adopt a child.

Gray and Juvia should have one more baby than Nalu since they can't have their rivals beating them.

Gajeel and Levy will have the twins plus one more.

Jerza.... I honestly see with just one. Maybe two of different genders.... with an age gap between them.

I think so too because I don't see Natsu as the type to wrap and Lucy seems too busy to pop pills.
