No, that couple is not credible, it's okay a little distance from time to time, it's healthy for a good relationship, but they have a gap of 16 years (more or less) without being seen, except with a few exceptions. So the jerza is nothing more than a crude attempt of a failed couple. Honestly when Igneel died and Natsu took off then Lucy went chasing after him "Because she wouldn't be lonely."
