I'd use xp share because otw it's just annoying. Then change to set.

We are only getting wild Pokémon right? Nothing from cities (like the second free starter)?

Hmm, well I got the Bulbasaur but it's only leveled up one level so far, i can box it, have exp share off and really it's not that hard, my team is at a decent level. Dont have set though.

>get ambushed by Pokefan Family who keep Headbutting everything while being bulky af, lost Ustie, because they concentrate attack round on him and I didn't heal up

>earn big money in Battle Chateau + Amulet Coin, fuck those rich pricks!
>next encounter in Conncting Cave a Whismush "Hard Candy"
>backtrack to get some levels on, locks in Uproar and Flabebe crits and kills the next turn
>encounter Route 8 is a swarm of underleveled Winguls, fml, boxed
>arrive at Rock Gym town with slightly ligher levels on my top dog mons than previous route's Rising Star Trainers, and no strategy against the gym
>guess will grind.

But so far, a little moment of silcene for Ustie, this was quite the unexpected and hurting loss.

wow man, you suck. Not a Veteran Trainer but rather a Bug Catcher it seems.

That said I just lost an other freshly caught mon trying to grind some levels on it. IN ITS SECONDS WILD BATTLE!!

Psssh...please. You had a Chespin with rollout which is massively helpful while I got hit by a crit and had a Froakie and chose to not train pokemon. Would've won against the gym leader if it wasn't a crit.

LMAO, yeah it is such an advantage going into a Bug Gym with a Grass starter and fighting a quadruple resist final gym Pokemon with only ace being a 90% accuracy move that starts out super weak.

If she didn't crit all your team would have been still dead anyways. Didn't you say you raise your mons with love earlier in the top 10? haha. well going underlevel in and being sweeped is rather touch love huh

Well, Dunsparce with Rollout against the gym leader was good as you would expect. I tossed in a rage when I was against a Surskit as the first move and later roll(ed) out into the win by three consecutive rolls two of which hit Surskit and then one shot the the Vivillon. My Scatterbug named Pixedbug fainted against a trainer with Litleo while I went to train in Route 3. Rest in pixels Pixie

I mean, we have potions and it isn't like the bug gym trainers other than the gym leader have moves such as X-Scissor or Bug Bite etc etc The only pokemon (among gym trainers) which had a 2x against your Chespin would be Combee with it's Gust but you had potions and you had a 4x Rollout against it and 2x against everything else. It takes time for Roll Out to hit hard but it isn't like you're getting one shot by the gym trainers. Against the gym leader you can comfortably set up your Rollout against a Surskit which had Bubble and Quick Attack as moves against your Grass type Chespin. I didn't have a pokemon with a super effective move in that run.

The second takes forever to get bbtw. remember I said I am in town to get it. It wasn't even the town. Had to make a fossil tour and then pass through an other route with trainers to get there. Training up now a bit, because my mons except sam are all on the level of the next route, and sam will be pretty useless in the rock gym.

I keep failing the new encounters so need to.be more confident going into that gym. Can't have too losses
