Well yeah that is the norm. In this case though it's simply because I didn't quite like the way they looked like in the CG cutscenes. In the official artwork they've got more of a majestic air

Gamestop will exclusively offer Meloetta starting on March 4th for Pokemon Black/White and Black/White 2. However it will be for a limited time.

Meloetta has the ability to change forms in battle, switching from a Normal/Psychic-type in Aria form to a Normal/Fighting-type in its Pirouette form.

Finally got a leak from Corocor, and it's a new Eevee evolution. Name is Ninfia, who's evolution method and type is currently a secret.

I think its either a flying or a dragon type.
More towards the flying type imo, simply because it looks like it was based on Skyla.

I must have to say i hate ninfia. 1) from the fact that i didnt want another eeveelution, 2) after 1.5 months of w8ing we get 1 pokemon whose type(s) is a mystery, 3) i didnt like the design. It looks like victini and skyla reproduced. sry for the rudeness but that is what i feel.

I am not so sure why GF is going for mystery types this gen to be honest.

Also they are trying too hard to keep ppl speculate when there is not much. It is a tricky bet from them especially when you consider they are using Pokemon XY to sell 3DS.

I wonder if they're going to introduce a new type; Why would they not say its type?

Actually, this pokemon has been introduced now because it will be featured supposedly on the short movie that will accompany the oncoming new Pokemon movie.

It looks kind of creepy. Could it be a Ghost type evolution? Could be an addition to Espeon and Umbreon, as psycho-dark-ghost are a sort of triangle type wise.

From the design and colours, however, I would rather say it's Normal. Reminds me of Snubbull, Clefable and Audino and the likes...

I like it, but I think I'd prefer that design be used for an altogether different pokémon. I mean it does look slightly out of place compared to the other eeveelotions. And as for what type it's going to be, I'd say it's either a flying or bug type, although it does look an awful lot like a normal type.

And wow, that short trailer..Still not digging that design, but when they showed it with the wind in the grass and the leaves floating around and shit...that looked pretty epic. Imagine that with bigger Pokemon and darker backgrounds. Duuuude.

Of course a normal type eeveelution doesn't really make that much sense, but like Evil3ye said it does look similar to Snubbull, Clefable and Audino and the likes. Pink pokémon tend to fall into the normal type a lot of the time.

And concerning the trailer, the pokémon models do look pretty great when in action. I still wish the backgrounds were different though. Not really a fan of those circled areas around the pokémon.
