Yupyup. But very, very distant (related to my grandfather, on the father side, who was born in Spain and came to France around the Franco era). Never got to meet any of them though, unfortunately.

Mmmmmm, that's not an easy request. There aren't any tracks that come to my mind out of the blue. Many are compared to Daft Punk, but not so many actually embrace the same patterns and tones, imho & as far as I know. Not to mention that my mind is currently focused on a very different type of music... But you might find some interest in some parts of Reverse Side, by 4trakz, even if the overall feel is quite different. Maybe Cycle, by Boris Duglosch, comes a bit closer to what you are looking for?
I'll try to hear more into it later, but don't expect much.
