I saw that on the marketplace on the weekend, I guess it does pretty much confirm, that it is Jill under that mask.
I think so too, this way Jill lives on, until Chris ends her life.
But I also think that it was too predictable once we saw the figure, the bird lady.

Im thinking the same thing, she might sacrifice herself in order to save Chris from Wesker or something like that. Eather way she dies..:( (I hope I'm wrong)

MAJOR SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Sunday there was a Resident Evil special of a gaming show called Playr, On the show they showed some exclusive Resident Evil footage and from what I saw I am able to come to the conclusion that Jill Valentine does indeed feature in this game, both in flashbacks and in the current timeline of the game.

This better be it, an end to the story and none of that braindead (no pun intended) RE4 crap. It gives the feel of such a rehash.

We'll always have RE1-3.

I don't know if have play the game, but I did like RE4. Even though when it 1st came out I was piss about knowing that there’s was no Umbrella story line in the game and with no Zombies (I mean a RE without Zombies. WTF?). But when I decided to give it a try, I really love it. All those new cool features and knowing that Wesker wanted to get his hands on this virus (Las Plagas), it give me some story relieve.

About the whole change of Zombies to Las Plagas. It was lil bit hard for me to adjust, since you are use to beat the hell out of those slowpoke Zombies. Now you have this guys who can shot you, throw things to you, open doors, chance you where ever you go and even try to outsmart you (sometimes). Man... That was a challenge:amuse (which btw I like it), I mean think of it as an evolution.;):)

IMO, RE4 was good as a shooter, but it lacked a trademark that came with the RE games, and partially the reason why I liked the series in the first place:
The puzzles, I felt that the puzzles in RE4 were too easy or even none existent. While I remember getting stuck for a week or so on a single puzzle in Code Veronica, and a similar one in RE2.
IMO, RE4 is good but RE2-3 and CV is better.

Now that you mention it. I Agree with you about the puzzles, I think they were none existent (well not that i remember) in the game.

well, there were some puzzles, but they were too easy to solve; I think the game was basically to attract more fans.

I remember the cube puzzle in Code Veronica(If you have played it) It took me near a week just to understand it and solve. Or one of the water samples puzzles in RE3, I could never solve that one on my one; it was just 6 months ago that i actually understood how to do it.

If your talking about the paper weight puzzle. It was a pain, it took me a while too to figure it out:D. One of the trickiest puzzle was the oil gauge puzzle, it was hard to tell exactly when to stop filling the gauges up.:darn

Lol, there were a number of gauge puzzles, and most of them were hard.
I remember the one in the hospital where you had to modify a drug in RE3, and I remember the first time i did it:
it took me two hour of randomly changing gauges for me to make the right choices, then when I walking towards the door, the toadlike creature broke out and killed, I was so frustrated then......lol

Its not the gameplay (although its very typical generic action shooter) of RE4 but the story that really bugged. The gameplay did tie into that because it removed any sense of tension or fear you wouldve experienced with the earlier titles. But the story was seriously generic garbage. It really felt like such a bullshit story they came up with to serve the gameplay and things they wanted to try out.
"My god youre alive?!" "I survived a helicopter crash and now Im evil!! Lets fight with knives!" "Ack! Even though we were former comrades, Ill have to kill you now! Instant demand of empathy from player for ridiculously underdeveloped and cliche plot twist/new character situation!!" Totally gay. Not to mention the fact that you barely learn anything about the situation/history (unlike RE1-3 which gave you extensive documentation with all the files) and NOTHING CHANGES story or character-wise!
And RE5, what Ive seen of it, seems like a next-gen rehash of RE4 and if its going to be equally overrated crap Im just not going to bother, hell they already have the spoiler videos of the ending and all other events of RE5 online so I can live with that. Plus its 60$, if Im going to pay that much for a game, it better be damn good.

That was another bad thing about RE4, yet there is many people who like it, it is starting to annoy me.

I was saying the same thing about RE5, the game had the same producer as RE4, but was changed after a while to another Produce who made the first RE.
So I think RE5 will be much better

Im hoping it is. If it sucks, I wont pick it up until its 7.99 @ Gamestop a year or three from now. Plenty of other better games to busy myself with.

I played RE5 today, and so far it is very interesting and very enjoyable. There is a big resemblance to RE4, but there is the feeling that there is a great plot developing within this game. Without giving any spoilers, I found the game to be much more better than the previous game, even though I only have reached chapter 3. I would recommend playing the game if you (generaly) are a fan PS: wesker is amazing, and those who will play the game will see why:amuse

Thats exactly what I heard from those whove beaten the game, its RE4 with a makeover (plot point for plot point almost verbatim). Sigh, fail. Darkness Chronicles seems interesting.

EDIT:
I would just like to thank Capcom for killing Resident Evil. Youre fucking sellouts and suck for firing the guys who actually wrote the first few games.

Well, it isn't their fault really, it is the field that they are playing in:
Utilizing heavy horror elements, puzzle solving, and a lot of action, most of the games in the main Resident Evil series have been released to positive reviews. Many of the games, most notably Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4, have been bestowed with multiple Game of the Year honors[15] and frequently placed on lists of the best games ever made.[16] A common criticism of the series is its odd placement of puzzles. When speaking of Code: Veronica, one critic wrote that the game is "still largely a puzzle-driven (as opposed to plot driven) experience."[17] Capcom has been commended, however, for making an attempt to phase out and better integrate the puzzles, with IGN writing that the puzzles of Resident Evil 4 are "not so obscure that they can't be figured out, and indeed many of them are downright clever."[18]

The success of the Resident Evil series has resulted in Guinness World Records awarding the series 8 world records in the Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition 2008. These records include Most Live-Action Movie Sequels, Action-Adventure Game with the Most Novelizations, and the dubious honor of Worst Game Dialogue Ever for the line "Here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you".
Taken from Wikipedia

The "Critics" want a more action game, but what they don't know is that "Games = Action" is wrong. As much I can say, Code Veronica gave so much history to the plot, from that game, we know who made Umbrella and what other viruses had been made.

To be honest, Critics are idiots, average Players will play any game that has flashing colors and is entertaining, it is the fans of the series that will tell any difference from the games. RE4 didn't add much greatness, it added bright colors and butched the game of any amazing effect the earlier games had.

Re4 puzzles weren't better, they were nearly nonexistant, something that nearly killed the game; I don't mind the camera view, but chasing villagers and killing them gets very boring very very fast. Even getting rocket launchers during the game feels a lot noobish. I want the RE game, where you have 20 bullets for a handgun, 7 shotgun bullets and one shotgun against hundreds of zombies. I prefer having some having decent puzzles, not having a small puzzle and a huge arrow next to the answer.

RE5, for me, is showing some promise, since we get more about the history of the game, where the virus came, and who discovered it. Also, we get some news about Jill
She ain't dead hahahhahahaha, Sweeet:D

Ps, I heard one of the most amusing quotes in the game:
During the latter levels of the game, in a big ship:
Sheva: This ship is big, how can we find Wesker?
Chris: Don't worry, if he knows we are here, he will come to us.:)
Sheva: how do you know??:s
Chris: lets just say, we have a long history together.

Sigh, cracked me up for a while:D

Well, RE 5 has one of (if not) the most impressive battles, and who has played it already know what I'm talking about
Jill and Wesker, my God, that wasn't a battle, but almost a movie, when Chris and Sheva were trying to take off that device from Jill's chest, man, the music, the dialogue was perfect ^_^
And finally everything was explained: the progenitor virus, whom was the beginning of everything, who would think that such kind of place would exist in Africa ( the flower place)

Yes, I was expecting a good game, but what I've seen was a game that has surpassed all my expectations!

Now I'm trying to get high scores for the mercenaries, lol
