Re: Kami no Procrastinator is going to State XD (team carry for the win!!)
Return of the text walls!!
I honestly have no idea how we do this all the time... The text walls shrink into posts that are a mere few lines when the quotes are taken out, and then BAM, they turn into text walls again...

60% of the time I stay at home all day. I expect the percentage to rise withing the coming days, since the hype of going out is dying down...
Righteo.
5 people, in the whole year level?! I think there are about 28 people in my year level doing Chinese... half with VCE, half with IB... and then there are the people who do Chinese outside of school and those who do Chinese 3/4.
So in short, there are a lot of people doing Chinese here.
While in Japanese... they only have 12 people or so.
Haha, I don't blame them... I'd honestly rather do Japanese.
When I was enrolling in my high school, they asked us to write down my 3 preferences for languages... I wanted Chinese, Japanese and French, but my dad wrote down Chinese, French and Latin...
I think it was his dislike of Japanese kicking in...
Last year, we did To Kill a Mockingbird and What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I swear, my Gilbert Grape essay was so much better, since I actually watched the movie twice, whereas I didn't even finish reading TKAM... Anyway, in the end, I got the marks back, and they got the exact same mark.
I swear, the teacher had a grudge against me and didn't even read my essays properly. Oh, and fun fact: 2 of my other friends had the same thing happen to them... (And get this, we're all Asian... Methinks the teacher was slightly racist...
)
Or I'm just overreacting and my essay was actually crappier than I thought.
And then there was this other time a few weeks ago. We had a practice essay for Macbeth, and I hardly put any quotes and metalanguage in... As expected, I got a C-. BUT THEN, for the real deal, I stuffed the essay with heaps of quotes and metalanguage, and I was pretty confident that I'd get at least a B+, but what happens? I get a C. ONLY HALF A GRADE HIGHER, DAMMIT!!
OTL I hate my English life.

My friend goes to Chinese school, and apparently her Chinese teacher tells the class every week to stress more. The teacher's like: "Why isn't everyone stressing?!?! You all need to stress more! I'm stressing for you all right now! Those who go "Oh no, I might've gotten this, this and this wrong!" after their exams are the ones who achieve!"
Wooow, 8 hours... that's like 60% of a weekend day or 40% or a school day...
Haha, my school recommends 3 hours per subject per week... I think I do like... Actually, I won't say.
Hey, at least you have a good accent, I guess... Not plagued by a Cantonese or Shanghainese accent.
My teacher says I have an excellent accent for a Canto-Shango person, but I don't believe her.
Hmm, well there's the general convo part and then the detailed study. The general convo is just when the examiner asks you general questions about yourself, your school life, your future, your friends, etc. We have Chinese convo classes at school where there's a list of the questions that they'll ask and we have to prepare a paragraph or so for each question and memorize.
As for detailed study, we have to pick a specific topic about China and prepare for questions from 4 aspects of the topic. Then you have to recite an introduction to the examiner, and he/she will ask you questions about the topic. (Which is where the prep from the 4 aspects come in.)
So all in all, it's a huge pain in the ass.
What do you have to do?
Ahh, but if your exams are more spread out, then you'll have even more time to prepare for each subject, since you have fewer subjects.

I was quite unfortunate, since on the day that I got my braces, I had to act out a part of Romeo and Juliet for English class.
So yeah, I had to recite the lines with a lisp.
Hmm, better getting them off than on... I'd rather have unusually slippery teeth than a metal contraption glued onto my teeth. Then they'd scrape against your cheeks and then ulcers form and you have to use dental wax, etc. etc.
Hmm... I think there are about 180 people in my year level at the moment... I think about 110 people do chem... About 70% of them with VCE and 30% with IB... Haha, as for physics, there are only about 30 or so people.
Then there'll be even less next year, since quite a lot of people are dropping it. (Including me.
)
I'm waking up at 1PM these days.
A sports veteran, is he?
I'm guessing all the sport medals are like that?
Oi, oi, oi... Although I dislike you Sydneysiders for taking over Australia and our tourism, at least I can spell 'Sydney' correctly!!
And hey... I think it's better if I procrastinate rather than you.
PS. Do you do the 3 lines between each quote paragraph and then type in the middle line?
Because that's what I do, and when I quote your posts, it's already nicely 3-lined.

Necro'd.![]()

To be like me and stay at home all day?![]()

Naw, you know how I was first before, then you asked how many in the class? I was like, what if there was 2 people in the class, and I'm now second![]()
Righteo.Yes way. That's how little people do Chinese. The rest of the Asians were stolen away to the Japanese CourseTraitors

OMGAAAHHH! That happened to me as well!! (Well, kind of.)I did slightly better this timeSuch a stupid system. My worst essay got the highest mark and my best one got the lowest. Seriously. How did an essay with no quotes (from the text we were studying) get an 18 wtff. (My pro essay died on like 14.
Evens out.)

Haha, yeah... I honestly think I don't stress enough when I'm close to exams or SACs... I just lounge around 2 days before and then cram the night/morning before... It's a baaad habit I need to get rid of.Depends on how well you take the stress. If you're laid back and stuff. It's all the same. But if you get all tense and worried about your ATAR year 12 will probably be worse. But I think that a little tension is important to do well.![]()

Theoretically: 8 hours/day
Realistically: 4, maybe 5 hours?
What? Dont' tell me you actually follow your timeables?![]()

Just ok?Hrm, they are. But I've already done my oral component.
It was ok in the Continuers level, but Extension questions were annoying.
What do you guys have to do for orals?
Hey, at least you have a good accent, I guess... Not plagued by a Cantonese or Shanghainese accent.

...Point taken.Well yeah, i guess we have less time, but we also have less in our courses![]()
Ahh, but if your exams are more spread out, then you'll have even more time to prepare for each subject, since you have fewer subjects. Woot! I hate it when the wording is confusing... There was this one SAC where there was this huge paragraph about "quickfit", "goodhealth", "goodfit" and "quickhealth"... It confused the heck outta everyone, and it turned out that that there were typos and that it's only supposed to have "quickfit" and "goodhealth".Careless people, unite! And start reading questions!!![]()

Nice. Yeah, they're a massive distraction. Until you get used to your teeth again. 1. You have a slight lisp, but less than when you first got them. 2. Teeth. Are. So. slippy. ugh.
I was quite unfortunate, since on the day that I got my braces, I had to act out a part of Romeo and Juliet for English class.

Ohh, we do our SACs in classes... Not with everyone else who's doing the subject in the whole year level. We have so many students you'd need like groups of 10 or something. Which is why it was changed
How many peopel do Chem/phys etc in your school?
Hmm... I think there are about 180 people in my year level at the moment... I think about 110 people do chem... About 70% of them with VCE and 30% with IB... Haha, as for physics, there are only about 30 or so people.

)Probably.I think You're just sleepy. When sleep deprived, more careless mistakes occur.

Whoooaaa...Thanks. When I got it my friend was like. Oh that. yeah I've got like four at home.
. He went to melbourn to play Volleyball at state >__>

Oi, oi, oi... Although I dislike you Sydneysiders for taking over Australia and our tourism, at least I can spell 'Sydney' correctly!!

You're such a considerate person. ;A; Well paper 1 is the 1 hour skills-based exam... No notes, no calculator, and it's on everything we've learnt in our school life. As for paper 2, it's a 2 hour analysis exam with as many notes as you want (as long as it passes the binding standards set by the VCAA) and a calculator. Also, what's in this upcoming math exam.
Yes, I'm bringing you back to reality. Even if I procrastinate, you mustnt.![]()

Were you Juliet?
Yeah it's funny how nobody realised what I meant when I said, my username is the same as the one here.

Yep... maybe...
Ahh, yeah... Trying to mark as many senior essays seriously while not neglecting the nurturing of junior students... Hard to juggle.
Wise words, wise words...

Haha, did you sprout the most random points/the first things you could think of?
Have I mentioned that my mental arithmetic is horrible?
