Sheep king/Queen coronation happen every #100 sheep game.. So whoever wins the sheep #100 will be the king or queen of the game until the next sheep coronation and will be added to the Hall of Fame.

Here is a thread to alert you to the start of new Sheep rounds
For anyone who plays this game: please follow this thread to receive warnings when new rounds are starting

Anyone making a round, please post a message to this thread when you do, so all prospective players will know to send a list (if you forget to do so, I will try to remember to do so for you).

This thread is currently just a test, to save on people having to go on mass tagging sprees - if the test is successful, we can keep on using it.
If the test fails (other than being extremely disappointed) then nothing will be lost and we can go back to ignoring it and tagging people like there's no tomorrow.

Sheep Game #119
'Pen Paper and Woolly Sheep'

1. What will the title of your story be about?
A) Detective Panda - Kids these days would hashtag this ‘100’.
B) The Satoko Final Exam Arc - Ah yes, the tale of a particularly stupid girl who’s been granted incredible powers she uses in possibly the worst possible way ever recorded in fiction.
C) The Grocery Killer - Ano day… 10 people went to do groceries, but only 1 person came out. What happened that day? And who was that lance-wielding guy with bushy eyebrows escaping the store with 10 bags filled with food?
D) Wishy-washy tales of a faraway land - A dusty tome filled with questionable antics by a hero not from around here.

2. But who or what inspired you to write in the first place?
A) Life itself is your muse. The machinations of storytelling are best based on experiences drawn from reality, tempered by good sense and nurtured by a love for drama.
B) Rin-chan.
C) You once read an incredibly spicy story that gave you pause. It reframed your entire way of thinking. It triggered something profoundly inspiring within you. You must write this down.
D) The colours of tomorrow against the backdrop of yesterday. Your art is not inspired by empiricism. Rather, your drive is abstract, authentic, beyond emotion - it's spirit itself.

3. It’s page one. You have run into writer's block, the hay fever-equivalent of the arts. How will you deal with it?
A) A break. Some time off. Looking away from the white page gives you the opportunity to restock on colours of life elsewhere. After all, what is a painter without their pigments?
B) Drugs. Food. Alcohol. Special Tea. Something stronger that is best not mentioned here. Maybe you just need some extra stimulus to break the mould and get to writing? To relax a little.
C) Talk with others. Discuss your craft. Why are you stuck? Advice from others might nudge you in the right direction.
D) Will-fucking-power. This is not a fight you can hide yourself from any longer. This boils down to discipline and the WILL to write down the necessary words. Editing comes later. First, it's about content.

4. Ah finally, you get into it. You’ve chosen a title and you’re feeling inspired. What kind of setting will you draw your readers in with?
A) A modern-day metropolis. Many different societies and cultures provide for various constellations to involve in your writing. Business, politics, criminality - all of it can be fitted into the bowels and corners of the big city. What darkness shelters here?
B) An old and spooky mansion, tucked away between shore and forest on a faraway island. Is it abandoned? Who lived here previously? Who lives there now? Away from civilization, the island as a metaphor allows you to zoom in on your exact message. The creaks are suspicious! Who goes there?!
C) A tiny, creepy and insulated town time and progress seemingly abandoned. The inhabitants of this place have their own peculiar customs and habits that contrast your own characters. Why are they all staring at you? What does this place hide?

5. What kind of person will explore your world?
A) The classic hero-like protagonist, plucky and likeable, someone the readers can root for.
B) An antihero who isn't always right, someone your readers will keep debating with and over.
C) An odd and mysterious old character, a kind of character the readers will be as curious about as the unveiling of the secrets of the story itself.
D) A badass villain, someone people may not cheer for, but won’t skip a beat. It will always be exciting to witness them figuring out the next step.

6. Hmm, sure, your protagonist goes about solving or committing crimes, tacking or causing cases wherever they go… But what is the maizena that thickens the plot?
A) Political intrigue, conflicts brewing between different factions or (black) organizations that seek to control (and profit) off everything!
B) The supernatural. Specifically, witches, more witches, and some degenerate tea parties. (milk and sugar included).
C) Love. And a heist. How to steal someone’s heart, the treasure from the hidden vault and get away with it all?
D) Time travel. Whatever it is in the past, your character will grasp it with their own two hands, pushing the limits of their humanity to the utmost limit.

7. What kind of feelings/sensations would you like your story to convey? It should be…
A) Difficult to read; the plot, dialogue and message will all be hard to grasp, but that is how real literature operates.
B) Gripping and exciting, tantalizing. Readers should be unable to put the book down and lose all track of time while reading.
C) Unique and original, inspiring. A story that is new and impactful, a sui generis of sorts.
D) Deep and moving, emotive. It should move a reader to tears!

8. Endings are always the most complicated step to make, aren’t they? How would you end your story? The ending will be..
A) Happy, of course, the good guy always wins. Even if you chose villain above, you’ll make due. Somehow.
B) Tragic; your hero will unlock this big mystery, but fail to meet their objectives in the end. This churns the nerves but invites a deep sigh and genuine understanding.
C) Open-ended, you want readers to have different interpretations. It will be like Inception, if Inception did steroids that did crack beforehand.
D) A twist! Suspense is cool but shock is best! How could this have happened? Everything your reader thought they knew… Has been twisted! By a plot twist!

9. Finally! Are you happy with your novel?
A) omo!
B) omona~
C) aigoo...

PS: Make sure to PM both @revo & @Copy Panda
PS PS: Sheep will close on Saturday 20/11!

Thank you smart and beautiful revling for allowing me to co-host and also doing scary numbers part <3

Sheep Game #119
~Results~

1. What will the title of your story be about?
A) Detective Panda - Kids these days would hashtag this ‘100’ (Tatsumaki, lakhan) x2
B) The Satoko Final Exam Arc - Ah yes, the tale of a particularly stupid girl who’s been granted incredible powers she uses in possibly the worst possible way ever recorded in fiction. (Brandish, Kiki, Juviii, Purity of Magi) x4
C) The Grocery Killer - Ano day… 10 people went to do groceries, but only 1 person came out. What happened that day? And who was that lance-wielding guy with bushy eyebrows escaping the store with 10 bags filled with food? (Erinyes, MarmaladeSky, Linali, GrySun, Lady Pompom) x5
D) Wishy-washy tales of a faraway land - A dusty tome filled with questionable antics by a hero not from around here. (Faust, SirSamuel )x2
Sounds too spicy not to pick this 🔥
Sounds like fun
(Detective panda in a terror baby suit and his chronicles in rinland)
I love detective stories too much to not choose this one... Tho if I had to choose a genre to write a book irl, it'd be fantasy
Satoko Final Exam Arc also sounds interestingly unique, but is more a comedy-only while C has a lot more freedom for writing.
Sincerely, this was by far teh best theme for me XD it reminds me of Gry and it has the suspense! The thrill! the umami of the mystery!!
1. B Satoko is panda bff

Panda comment: I'm subtracting points from anyone who picked Satoko or mentions terror baby 🗡

2. But who or what inspired you to write in the first place?
A) Life itself is your muse. The machinations of storytelling are best based on experiences drawn from reality, tempered by good sense and nurtured by a love for drama. (Faust, Linali, GrySun, Lady Pompom) x4
B) Rin-chan (Tatsumaki, MarmaladeSky, Juviii, lakhan) x4
C) You once read an incredibly spicy story that gave you pause. It reframed your entire way of thinking. It triggered something profoundly inspiring within you. You must write this down. (Kiki) x1
D) The colours of tomorrow against the backdrop of yesterday. Your art is not inspired by empiricism. Rather, your drive is abstract, authentic, beyond emotion - it's spirit itself.
E) Marian Cross (Erinyes) x1
E) Money (Brandish) x1
E) Musashi-chan. Winner of the waifu wars and thus cementing her MH legacy as a better waifu than Rin-chan. (SirSamuel) x1
E) ur mom inspired me (Purity of Magi) x1
She's an inspiration
A Copan member cannot simply skip a Rin-chan option.
( A certain bamboo eating heretic's love for a certain twintail tsundere)
Although I don't always like drama, I do like it enough to see and write dramatic stuff, I also love plot twists! Even more if the plot twist is that the cute cashier that was shot is the real killer and not the guy that ran away with 10 grocery bags! Imagine that!

Panda comment: Not enough people picked Rin-chan smh head 😤

3. It’s page one. You have run into writer's block, the hay fever-equivalent of the arts. How will you deal with it?
A) A break. Some time off. Looking away from the white page gives you the opportunity to restock on colours of life elsewhere. After all, what is a painter without their pigments? (Erinyes, Linali, Lady Pompom, Purity of Magi) x4
B) Drugs. Food. Alcohol. Special Tea. Something stronger that is best not mentioned here. Maybe you just need some extra stimulus to break the mould and get to writing? To relax a little. (MarmaladeSky, Juviii, SirSamuel) x3
C) Talk with others. Discuss your craft. Why are you stuck? Advice from others might nudge you in the right direction. (Kiki, GrySun) x2
D) Will-fucking-power. This is not a fight you can hide yourself from any longer. This boils down to discipline and the WILL to write down the necessary words. Editing comes later. First, it's about content. (Tatsumaki, lakhan, Faust) x3
E) Read Marcus Auerlius, Epictetus, or Hiro Mashima. (Brandish) x1
Special tea never disappoints!
Weren't the best writers a bunch of drug addicts? That's definitely the secret.
(I just need the will and discipline to do it dattebayo. I am going to make panda hunt rin in best ways possible)
That's how I always do, if I'm stuck with anything. I only need to be careful, because if the break if getting too long, I might drop whatever I was doing.
A and C both sound proper depending on the wider circumstances.
I'm not proud of my procrastination, but many times, it's either standing in front of the blank page for hours or taking a break to try get inspired.
Food always helps fuel the creative mind, as does a FUCKTONNE of coffee :D

(Tatsumaki, Faust, GrySun, SirSamuel) x4

Away from civilization, the island as a metaphor allows you to zoom in on your exact message. The creaks are suspicious! Who goes there?! (Brandish, MarmaladeSky, Kiki, lakhan, Linali) x5
C) A tiny, creepy and insulated town time and progress seemingly abandoned. The inhabitants of this place have their own peculiar customs and habits that contrast your own characters. Why are they all staring at you? What does this place hide? (Juviii, Lady Pompom) x2
D) A ryokan, it sounds such a romantic place where we can eat nice food (Erinyes) x1
D) Seiko becoming your mother in a faraway place. (Purity of Magi) x1
Perfect for holidays ✨
(Just the setting i need for encounter of suspicious rin and our baby panda)
Oh yes, a perfect place for crime and to kill all my characters... :blush
A fits best for the Grocery Killer story.
I was between this and A, but A would make such a boring setting, I think the grocery story fits more the strange town and their creepy habits, a secret that everyone but the main characters knows the mystery.

Panda comment: Mango I hope you choke on your tea

5. What kind of person will explore your world?
A) The classic hero-like protagonist, plucky and likeable, someone the readers can root for. (Brandish) x1
B) An antihero who isn't always right, someone your readers will keep debating with and over. (Kiki, Juviii, lakhan, Faust, Linali, Lady Pompom) x6
C) An odd and mysterious old character, a kind of character the readers will be as curious about as the unveiling of the secrets of the story itself. (Tatsumaki, GrySun) x2
D) A badass villain, someone people may not cheer for, but won’t skip a beat. It will always be exciting to witness them figuring out the next step. (MarmaladeSky) x1
E) a badass, mysterious red haired, anti hero (Erinyes) x1
E) Musashi-chan. (SirSamuel) x1
E) Seiko. (Purity of Magi) x1
The grocery killer obviously has main character vibes.
(:catshrug My readers will debate what poses panda shld have given in those situations)
I'm a little fed up with the crystal-pure heart heroes :darn
I always like a MC that has his own secrets and mysteries that are yet to become apparent.
While I also like heroes, I think the antihero will give the spice to the story, if he is doing things not everyone will agree always and showing flaws, that would fit more a setting of a crime/psychological fiction I'd want to write,

6. Hmm, sure, your protagonist goes about solving or committing crimes, tacking or causing cases wherever they go… But what is the maizena that thickens the plot?
A) Political intrigue, conflicts brewing between different factions or (black) organizations that seek to control (and profit) off everything! (Faust, GrySun) x2
B) The supernatural. Specifically, witches, more witches, and some degenerate tea parties. (milk and sugar included). (Tatsumaki, Juviii, lakhan, Linali, SirSamuel) x5
C) Love. And a heist. How to steal someone’s heart, the treasure from the hidden vault and get away with it all? (Erinyes, MarmaladeSky, Kiki, Purity of Magi) x4
D) Time travel. Whatever it is in the past, your character will grasp it with their own two hands, pushing the limits of their humanity to the utmost limit. (Lady Pompom) x1
E) Wtf is maizena? (Brandish) x1
love always causes trouble~
(love is lyf. love is luv)
I'm sure a tea party will provide enough spice to thicken any plot. :hurr
(My protag Panda needs to experience first hand the nature of those milk tea parties and then upgrade to panda 2.0 - Dark alter panda)
Crime fantasy. Literaly my two favourite genres mixed into one. Bitchin' :wtf
Time travel stories have been done to death I feel, and come with a bit too many restrictions while at the same time having too many tools to resolve anything with. Love is a bit too simple. So either the supernatural or political conflicts. A healthy mix of both is the best, though I guess supernatural is more the sprinkles and less the core in such a mixture, so A it is.
the plot thiiickens! the main character, the anti-hero was transported into the past! This is why the town is so strange, this is why those people look at him with such contempt, and now, he must find a way to unravel the mysteries of this city and of the stolen groceries before it eats him alive!

7. What kind of feelings/sensations would you like your story to convey? It should be…
A) Difficult to read; the plot, dialogue and message will all be hard to grasp, but that is how real literature operates. (MarmaladeSky) x1
B) Gripping and exciting, tantalizing. Readers should be unable to put the book down and lose all track of time while reading. (Tatsumaki, Juviii, Linali, GrySun, Lady Pompom, SirSamuel) x6
C) Unique and original, inspiring. A story that is new and impactful, a sui generis of sorts. (lakhan, Faust) x2
D) Deep and moving, emotive. It should move a reader to tears! (Brandish, Kiki) x2
E) Unique but heartwarming, a nice slice of life that makes the reader feels comfy. (Erinyes) x1
E) A mix of A and C. (Purity of Magi) x1
Its not true literature if it's easy to understand!
(Panda's adventure to find and save rin , but becomes her greatest enemy and now further seeks to obliterate the heretics rin chan appreciation club members)
Why not all? :Haha
Easy B. Best stories are those that you just have to keep experiencing til you've eaten it all.
This is what I'd like to say, but not sure how much my skill allow me to make it that interesting.

Panda comment: I become Rin-chans greatest enemy Lak?? What kind of story are you writing

8. Endings are always the most complicated step to make, aren’t they? How would you end your story? The ending will be..
A) Happy, of course, the good guy always wins. Even if you chose villain above, you’ll make due. Somehow. (Kiki, Juviii, GrySun) x3
B) Tragic; your hero will unlock this big mystery, but fail to meet their objectives in the end. This churns the nerves but invites a deep sigh and genuine understanding. (MarmaladeSky, lakhan, Faust) x3
C) Open-ended, you want readers to have different interpretations. It will be like Inception, if Inception did steroids that did crack beforehand. (Linali, SirSamuel) x2
D) A twist! Suspense is cool but shock is best! How could this have happened? Everything your reader thought they knew… Has been twisted! By a plot twist! (Tatsumaki, Lady Pompom) x2
e) no tragedy !!!! just a nice and cute ending <3 (Erinyes) x1
E) A hard cover. (Brandish) x1
E) Seiko, babychan, satoko and maria finally entering Pando's home. The end. (Purity of Magi) x1

I don't write sins, I write tragedies
Anyone who chooses B shall be locked in a room with Magi for 48h to quench their thirst for the tragic.
(His initial objective of trying to save rin, after finding the mystery(she is the one who made him wear tht terrorbaby costume) turns into obliterating her)
The ending that gives the most satisfaction, always.
The plot twist that the killer cashier was actually the main character, from the future! he came to take vengeance and change the tides of his own history! *gasps* he had it planned all along and played the main characters like a fiddle, just to take the place of the main character in the present!

9. Finally! Are you happy with your novel?
A) omo! (Tatsumaki, Kiki, lakhan, Linali, GrySun) x5
B) omona~ (MarmaladeSky, Lady Pompom) x2
C) aigoo… (Juviii, Faust, SirSamuel) x3
D) did i write something ? (Erinyes) x1

D)
(Brandish) x1
