So Girls and True Detective were stellar, as usual.

The Walking Dead was nice and poignant, but a bit lacking as far the returning episode after being away for so long, maybe. Not much of a criticism though.

From the present storyline, we knew Maggie and Martin would divorce; but I didn't expect it now, maybe a few more episodes down the line once the search for the serial killer intensified. But from what happened last episode and him assaulting Lisa's man friend, it's no wonder she went and told all to his wife.
Cohle is so rude; not really caring about anything else than the case; I think he even found the marital problem to be a distraction. Even when he tries to reassure Martin that he and Maggie would be together in a few months; that seemed like he just wanted to shut him up.

Good to see that this case is leading us to various parts and into Rust's background with the Biker crew and that last scene with the shootings was so tense, because you wondered how they'd escape all that.

They've cancelled Mob City.

It wasn't a brilliant show, but one that I really enjoyed and awaited for its continuity. Not unexpectedly, dip in ratings is to blame, apparently.

It was a boring show. I fell asleep watching it. And that actor from walking dead got a charisma close to 0 Kelvin.

Joe Teague, the lead character? I see your point, I hadn't seen him in a lead role before so I was curious as to how he'd do but he outshun by other actors. My favourite would be Edward Burns; really loved his charisma and persona. The setting, neo-noir look of the show was what appealed to me, so I'll miss that.

For those not following, a Gotham tv series is coming; set before Batman's time in the city, following Jim Gordon in his young days. Casting news are HERE.

Yeah shows like this with the lack of the big character never really last long; no matter how many other characterd and villains are introduced. A show called Gotham that doesn't focus on Bruce Wayne just won't get far. We'll see how long this lasts.

Also , they're making a Robin Hood series; where...get this, Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham are the same person. [HERE]

They are still in the casting process for a young Bruce Wayne, but that's the closest we'll get to seeing Batman. Gordon may be a [somewhat] important character in the Gotham world and Batman stories, but couldn't they seriously not think of a better character to headline such a show?

If it isn't Bruce Wayne, it's most likely a waste of time and won't capture any audience...lol

This new series "Gotham" should've been done a long, long time ago. I'm sure this is an old idea they are finally ready to put out there. Especially after, the success of the Nolan / Dark Knight trilogy. So far, Penguin and Riddler are suppose to have their background stories told in this. Hope, they build up to a possible "Year One" origin story.

So HBO wants to do a Remake of Utopia now... US-remakes of british shows are usually crap... but since it's HBO I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Edit: I saw the first one. HOLY FUCK. I didn't see that one coming. It was a real shock. This was insane. And the final speech: "Every kitten grows to be a cat" to "welcome back". Just wow. Might be the best first episode of a second season from any serie.
