Jia Sidao's character reminded me a bit of Cao Feng from Reign of Assassins, except that with Sidao was ruthless from the moment we met him and so did not need an alter ego in order to advance in his plans. I wrongfully assumed him to be a weakling who craved power to compensate for his lack of personal strength...how surprised I was to find out otherwise. From the moment he was shown fighting, I really was hoping him and Thousand Eyes would clash; happy to have seen that.

Yep, especially as how they've skipped most fights so far so it was nice seeing at least 2 fights uninterrupted in this season. I am tempted to read about the different characters on wikipedia including Ahmad but I don't want to be spoilt :/

I was also glad the showrunners gave us some Marco vs Jingim in the training room, as their was a lot of tension between the 2 characters; especially from the prince's standing, he truly despised how (he thought) his father valued Marco more than himself.

I know after I finished the season, I looked up a few of the characters but I've forgotten a lot of the details now so it's okay. I have to say Ahmad's character is the sort of conniving scum I hate to see but he plays it so well that it's quite enjoyable. I won't be looking up his fate online and patiently wait for the next season. The ending of his season's storyline promises so much for his character in relation to the dinasty though...

I tried the show "scorpion". It's definitively not a masterpiece but it's watchable. Characters are endearing and there is a lot happening in a single episode. The main problem with the show is that most things this group of geniuses do isn't genius work ... it's pure magic. Kinda ironic that you have to shut off your brain to watch a show about geniuses .

I tried to get into Scorpion too but i just couldn't do it. Like you, the way they go about selling the super brilliance of these geniuses just doesn't work for me. I need a little less witchcraft and a little more....

I finished watching the first season of The Fall. Very good crime thriller series with Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan. Seeing the evolution of the characters and the "good guys" slowly uncover the murders, while also witnessing all the internal affairs of the police department and the real state of the streets of Belfast. Anderson's character is my favourite on the show, she's smart, driven and very confident in herself; something that makes the men around her a bit uncomfortable but creates a dynamic between her and not just the men but all others in her department.

So the "Girls" sex scene caused some controversy? Lol, I think it's a show that is breaking some barriers but from a female perspective, none of what it puts out is actually that horrifying or nothing new, it's just that the female side of things is told in a sincere way and that might be more shocking as it's something not that fully pushed with a show of this format. Even if there are a lot of pervy things in this show it somehow always gets really serious tones which are rather emotional.

I think it gained attention after her father's reaction to it. I guess it's an uncommon manner to portray a intimate relationship between two people so it was interesting enough to cause some reactions.

If you are talking about the rimjob, i do not think it has anything to do with the female perspective, at least in this instance, it´s more, like you said in your next post, about being more or less new and shocking for some people but that just shows how prude at least some parts of America are.

The new 12 monkeys tv show is a hit. First 2 episodes are out and it's good. Time travel is well handled which is rare, eager to see how it will evolve.

Are you kidding? I definitely thought this show would be cancelled, due to the worst actors I've seen in quite some time. Plus, the story has been incredibly slow and dull.

Yeps, I have to agree. Black sails is pretty bad. It's xena or hercules in the caribbean sea. Everything looks clean and gave this "90s TV show" feeling. Acting is bad and lets face it: that blondie would have been raped and reduced to a sex slave in real world at that time. Characters are not believable for one second.

And I tried to enjoyed it, I like pirates but this was too bad. I had to give up.

Yeah, normally I'm pro at "not thinking too much" when watching tv. Here, that xena/hercules feeling I got made me feel like a child when watching it. I have the same problem with atlantis. It's just too clean/ too bright. You can feel the "tv set" , the "fakeness". Normally I have tastes more similar to yours

HAHA I totally forgot about that annoying blonde! I guessed the subconscious part of my mind tried to erase the memory of her terrible acting! The main character's personality is more dry than a nuns' you know what

It's going to a new dynamic between the two characters this season; a bit like what we had in the second season but on a larger scale. The trailer seems to hint that Will forgives Hannibal, so I wonder what leads him to that and how the characters proceed from then on.
There's new characters joining the show, one of which is the Tooth Fairy/ Great Red Dragon who will be played by Richard Armitage. Also joining the cast is Rutina Wesley and Tao Okamoto( ). Quite disappointed that Michael Pitt won't be reprising his role as Mason Verger (replaced by a Joe Anderson?) which he was great in. :<
