That would be beneficial for them but how would they get Mel to turn to there side?. Demon blood can taint and change people for the worse so turning Mel fully demon could be the way. Meliodas referred to the fact that they "crossed swords" in the past and something must have happened between them.
Right now he's not as powerful as he was, perhaps he really needs to consume some souls as well, but I don't think it's the issue.
Maybe him embracing his true nature as a demon will make him regain all of his strength, maybe right now he's surpressing his powers. If anything he should be of the same tier as Zeldris at least, so he would be pretty valuable to the demons, and before that there was even talk of capturing him. He could also be a good source of information about the Sins and their allies, so imo it's worth giving it a shot and have him turn and join the demon's side.

Oh I just thought of something, in regard to my theory about Mel and Estarossa having been one being at some point in the past. If that were the case, and Estarossa plans on absorbing Mel back (or his power) then shouldn't that explain why the Goddess clan want Mel dead?
Because it doesn't make much sense for them to want him dead if he betrayed his own clan and even helped the Goddesses seal the TCs. But if his power were to get absorbed in some way by Estarossa, then that could be really problematic since he'd become far too powerful and they'd want to prevent that at all costs, even if it meant killing Mel. Though for this theory to work, the Goddesses would need to know beforehand that the demons would break free, and what I find really strange is that they did nothing to prevent that. Even without this theory of mine, the Goddesses only thought of Mel, and not of what could happen if the demons broke free, and even afterwards.Yet they seemed to know about Mel's current title (Dragon's sin) so that shows they might be up to date with the events.

Just some random thought I had.

For Mel to regain all of his strength he'd need to get it back from Estarossa at some point if you go by that theory. Mel's power is massive so he must be holding back to refrain from losing control. Or to avoid becoming fully demon and taking the side of the 10C's which would take more than persuading. The Goddesses must have been watching Meliodas for some time now to be able to keep up with him and the current events effecting Britannia. How they knew beforehand that the demons would break free is confusing. There is more to why the Goddesses want Mel dead that just Estarossa getting his full power back. I think Mel screwed over the Goddess clan 3,000 years ago and took something from them which could explain how Mel has been able to live for so long.

I wonder how many of the Commandments were actually born demons and if that will play a part at some point. Full Demons and half demons alike.
pretty sure aside from glox and dolor the rest are full demonic beings. the entire "monspiet is a vampire" theory is nice but ignores the fact that we already saw him chilling out in the sunlight all the time

the only thing i somehow can relate to would be some form of goddess who switched side (estarossa? - the goddess part of meliodas?)

Well, vampires in this manga can resist sunlight as far as we know. Their issue was their power being halved in sunlight. And even then it wouldn't be weird if that weakness was overcome once he was turned into a demon.

I am talking about the edinburg vampires. It was never said sunlight hurt them, just that the night doubled their PLs. We even saw the vampire king standing next to escanor after the night spell was over and he did not outright die, he died because escanor burned him, not because the day itself was harmful to him.

One thing I always wondered about since we never got an explanation - how did Fraudrin/Dreyfus manage to stage his escape after Hendricksen (who allegedly was under Fraudrin's control as well) completely corroded his body. I mean, Griamore was right there. He saw the whole thing. Was it an illusion? Or does Fraudrin perhaps also have the same constitution that allows Gowther to turn into a little doll when his magic is turned off, due to having replaced his Commandment position? That is right now the only way I could imagine this happened, he looked like he was corroding but then nullified his own magic power, shrank into a little Dreyfus (god that sounds cute as hell) and hid within the remnants of his scorched armor until everyone left the scene and he could get away...

Unless I am missing something I don't remember.

Maybe he can use demon regen, just like mera survive from Escanor, maybe you all think Fraudin is a weak, but he survive from Meliodas ultimate wraith, oh he can use Dreyfus blood to heal Hendrickson demon form, so yeah i think he have some Demon regen ability, or we can go with Fraudin ability.

But he was completely melted, even worse than Merascylla. Of course it could be regeneration, though. Hm. I am not sure myself.

Even if he isn't necessarily the strongest Fraudrin might have better defensive capabilities, faster and more effective regeneration or something like that.

Merascylla and fraudrin didn't necessarily "regenerate" from the damage they took. Merascylla was still extra crispy when we saw her. She was split in two as she fell but that is exactly the sort of damage from which demons can put themselves back together easily. Odds are that regular healing would have taken a long time, if it happened at all. I think the situation here is that a demon's resilience is much greater than their ability to heal. Which is why merascylla survived but in turn couldn't get back to her non crispy form without aid. Or why hendricksen survived mel's revenge counter but in turn couldn't grow back him lost limbs until he was helped. Or why fraudrin was left in that crater for over 6 years.

Yeah, but I originally meant the Fraudin in Dreyfus' body who was done in by Hendy's Acid power. That would require some insane and immediate regernation to come back from that in a matter of a few days. Wasn't it just like two days between that fight and him opening the seal with Hendricksen's help in that valley? I still wonder how he managed to survive all this with Griamore as a witness. Unless it was an illusion that he melted.

I would think it was most likely a rather elaborate illusion. Had dreyfus' body really melted then it would have melted with fruadrin still in it which is a rather inconvenient scenario. And it would showcase demonic regeneration which we have yet to see safe for whatever fraudrin did to hendrickson's leftover body.

Thought it was about time we got such a thread, since we usually come up with some crazy theories but we don't really get to discuss them.

Do keep in mind that this is not a thread where trolling is ok, the theories need to be a bit serious.Still it's mostly intended for fun, it doesn't have to be only serious theories that people are going to argue about endlessly.

I'll go first, Hawk is the demon king in disguise.:derp

I think his kirby like powers is going to be one of the key elements in the story. :verily

It actually reminds me of Soma/Dracula's power from the Sorrow games.

1.I think he is one of the original too, but he was very young.
2.We don't know, Zeldris must have inherited of it.
3.The giant guy and the one with a big beard, two have been slain(by Meliodas if Estarossa is to be believed), not three. Gowther went missing and Meliodas left them.

Escannor is "son of god". Not belong to goddes clan, but something above goddes clan, he exist to stop war, and maybe fir killing demon king, for some reason in future Meliodas become Demon King, because he want stop with his own way, 2 teams split, Meliodas, merlin, Gowther. And another team Escanor, King, Diane, Ban, Civul war begin. That my crazy theory.

Why is everyone so fixated on gray lord's commandment?

He probably has the most specific one in the sense that if someone kills HIM, his commandment activates after his death.

Obviously people can kill in front of him.

He would be the biggest liability as a ally ever if every time they went into battle along side him all they had to do to activate it was just kill in front of him.
