He's 4-10 VS Nadal,3-5 VS Djokovic,0-2 Murray,6-6 Berdych,3-3 Tsonga etc soooo yeah lol he's got a couple of wins VS the (current) top 10. The only people he's never beaten are Federer,Del Potro and Murray. Though I don't see why you brought that up in context to this match though.

Anyway, Federer loses his 4th set to Youzhny in 15 meetings but the other two sets were routine. Extends his record of most open era grass court titles to 13.

I'm surprised by that amount of wins against top 10 players for Youhzny. I don't watch a huge amount of tennis outside of the Grand Slams and the US Open Series (Toronto/Montreal, Cincinnati, Stanford, and that other women's one), so I may have missed some of his victories over them.

His last victory over (an admittedly tired) nadal was 6-0,6-1 or something....which shocked me even though nadal was fatigued from a marathon semi final.

I love this sport haha...this is actually the only thread I'm active on on MH if you can believe that. Dedicated tennis forums have...not been fun for me lol.

I generally don't pay attention to 250s since the top players tend to skip those all together, but all the grass court tune up events are 250s so they have fields comparable to 500's.

On topic, i didn't realize that this was Federers 77th title so he's now tied with Mcenroe for 3rd most of all time, though the top two title holders of all time have over 100 i dont see him matching that lol.

Cilic is probably going to lose to Murray. I'm hoping it goes to 3 at least.

Surprising. Youzhny has talent, but he's usually unable to focus it. I don't know if he's ever even made it to a QF at a Slam. He's like Gulbis in a way.

I'd never go to a dedicated tennis forum. :P

I watch Queens sometimes, but rarely Halle or Eastbourne.

What do you think Federer will end up at for titles? 83-85?

Um..hmm i want to say 85 or so. I mean if he really wants to rack up titles he can go to 250s like Stockholm or estoril but he wants a light schedule..he's not even attending his home town tournament of basel this year (wouldn't be surprised if he took a wild card into though).

Youzhny actually made the semis of the US open 2 times, and the quarters of the other ones once.

Queens final is indeed in a 3rd set, Murray up 4-1...but he was also up 4-1 in the first set and lost it 5-7 lol...

Well, yeah, but Fed's not going to do that.

I am shocked to see that Youzhny's done that well in Majors.

Well, neither Djokovic nor Nadal played in Queens (I don't know if they've ever played at Halle).

Djoker played Halle in 09 (runner up to Haas), Nadal played Halle last year (lost to Kohlshreiber). Nadal was supposed to play Halle this year but pulled out.

Oh, right, I saw this yesterday on ESPN. Djokovic only has Ferrer in his half at Wimbledon, whereas the other half has Federer, Murray, and Nadal.

Wimbledon Draw is out...Djokovic has Ferrer on his side.......while 3 of the big 4 are on the other side. Federer could face Nadal in the quarters, Murray in the Semis, and Djoker in the finals if he wants to defend this title, I don't see that happening lol.

Ahhh the multiscreen capabilties are only but one of the advantages of Wimbledon at home . Saw some of Sharapova's match; though she won in 2 sets, the first one was not an easy one at all.

I'm just watching Nadal's match now, it seems he's got knee problem and his backhand seems to have been wavering all match or so it's been the case with the last few shots I've seen. Seems Mr. Darcy is on his way to one of the biggest upsets. 4-2.

Orz another knee problem? He beat Ferrer with ease and then took a couple of weeks off :<. The first set was clean, lots of winners/low errors from both players. Darcis is just playing well above his level.

That's what the commentators were talking about just as I tuned into the match and he seemed to have difficulties running and making his usual shots. He wasn't 100%, that's for sure. Congrats to Darcis though, what a game. Best of his life for sure.

Something could be wrong...but it seems no one ever "beats" nadal fair and square there's always an injury...regardless of how he looked before the loss. It's unfair to the other players imo :<

They asked Nadal about his physical condition to which he responded: "Today is not the day to talk about this".

I think mental issues were at work, losing early here last year was definitely in the back of his mind, and Darcis plays a similar game to Rusol that may have weighed in on his mind as well.

At least one good news for Belgian man tennis. Goffin got Djokovic in the first round at roland garros & Tsonga now at Wimbledon. Malisse did what he does best since the beginning of his career: disappoint.

Darcis is an odd player. His first years on the circuit were crazy: either first round elimination or final. The guy got mental issues that he never solved explaining his rank.

The reaired the match twice...i watched it a second time. First set was fine, there was definitely something wrong in the second...maybe his game can't handle grass anymore since i don't see how he could have gotten injured.

Earlier on I read an article where both Boris Becker and Tim Henman weigh in on their views of the match and Nadal's future on grass. Becker thinks that Nadal should consider his future on grass after 2 straight early knockouts from Wimbledon. To be fair, he didn't play a single competitive match or other( that I'm aware of) before Wimbledon.
