More participants would be fun. I initially wanted 64 participants instead of 32. That would be hectic

I'm voting for a GMG dragon.
Because i'd like to compare them to current standards. GMG dragons didn't leave me a great impression, considering no DS died. But on the other hand it would be interesting to put a GMG dragon against someone like Gildarts, and determine whether or not such a top tier Ishgar character can beat a dragon without wielding DSM.

Also, Mavis and Ichiya would be completely out of place, and unrestricted Zeref and human Acno are way too strong.

Hades with or without heart is probably better than some characters in the tournament yeah, i guess he would have been good to have. I was mainly talking about the higher tiers, as i believe Hades is not in high tiers anymore.
For instance i'm sure Gray would beat Hades now, but would he beat a dragon? That would be trickier to determine, due to the still unanswered question of whether or not dragons are truely immune to non-DS magic.

Racer and Midnight was probably happy that Cobra is dragged somewhere not them because they already know his fate after all they went through in this series

I think it would be nice seeing a GMG Dragon here, mostly because I remember a while back there being a debate over which are the strongest group of antagonists Mashima has ever introduced, the Spriggan 12 or the GMG Dragons
This tournament would be a good place to settle that score
Human Acno would lose to Jellal because he'd hold back

Chose Ichiya because he would be a good opponent for August, since he does use dat Holder magic Would've voted GMG dragon otherwise, wanted to see if people would select Gildarts or DiMaria over them.

You don't know.Acnologia's current overflowing strength is not because he ate Ravines of Time but because got some powerup from Ichiya.That's why he had shining crystals from his body.

Irene:
Stomps Gajeel, Stomps DiMaria, Mid diffs both Zeref (who mid-high diffs Laxus) and Gildarts (who mid diffs Jellal) simultaneously
