Thats what i was thinking as well .Until i realized that now everybody is going to unite behind Natsu.
We used to have "because she's Erza", now we have Natsu, who wins regardless of who his opponent is because he's Natsu.

Natsu VS August? August is immune to Natsu's magic right?

And it's not because I've decided to hate Natsu. The simple explanation is that Zeref was not as strong as he was hyped up to be. As I've always said, the only thing that Zeref has going for him is his immortality.

Without immortality, he's even weaker than August and Gildartz in my opinion.

So I still don't see Natsu beating somebody on August's tier, since I even rank Zeref weaker than Laxus.

And August being able to cancel most wizards' magic kinda already seals the deal for me.

But I don't blame you for being salty. The power ranking has gotten way out of line at this point. Even Igneel's greatest adversary is fodder tier.

Zeref just wasn´t all he was made out to be. Natsu, also, is the perfect counter to him in all aspects. From mentality, right emotions, right magic type, right friends, right answer to dragon living in his dreams that made him questionably overpowered in his base form, to name a few qualities.

I agree dude don't worry. Personally i'll vote for August as well against Natsu (since it makes no doubt in my mind that Natsu will reach the finals alongside August, if they don't meet before).

I personally believe it was Mashima´s rushed writing that saved August. How Ironic.

I'm still gonna vote for August, especially since I'm convinced Zeref was immensely nerfed throughout this fight. Natsu had plotsu on his side. Unless he can replicate that power again, no reason to believe he can use it without Lucy helping him.

At least we know what the final round will be.

Well i wouldn't really call him weak because of that.You may say what am i saying after this chapter.But i am basing this on evidences.


1.I still cannot fathom how a person who survived this attack and still standing gets defeated by Base Natsu.

2.I noticed that Natsu's own hand got burned

Did it ever happen before really?Natsu's own flame got so strong that it burned his own hand.Did it ever happen with DF,END or even with Igneel's Flame ever.No?

3.Zeref without FH overwhelmed Base Natsu but suddenly he got defeated.

None of those guys are August.

Without PIS/WIS he about to get a staff up his rectum with a side of "Melt."

He did require some assistance in a majority of the more crucial fights you mentioned above.

He required it against Zero, Precht, Jacob, Laxus, Jellal, Mard to name a few.

Heck, he even needed it against Garjeel when they first fought, albeit he was at a disadvantage.

Plus, he needed plenty of WIS for other fights like his oneshot against Neinhart, his soloing of two DF boosted Dragon slayers, his battle against FH Zeref and base Zeref, his battle against Zancrow, etc.

You can easily link memory of his friends to WIS.

More like a hero built upon the fortress that is mashima´s lackluster, repetitive, terribly uncreative writing.

Also, why bring up the irrelevance that is Avatar?

This is the only arguement i can find for the eventual August vs Natsu

Hax magic can be overwhelmed with an opponent strong enough. It can be argued that Natsu is strong enough to negate Augusts hax magic like he did with Dimaria. He can burn through any magic sent his way, but likewise August cant be touched. This one, realistically, ends in a tie

Simply accept that the fact that Natsu is the strongest now.
