Shounen Undead Unluck

Okay, this is the first time I got bored of an Undead >< Undead chapter. Usually I like flashback chapters, but this one has so little new info that it seems irrelevant. Although, admittedly this manga is really good if it took 41 chapters to make me bored.

damn, did we really will meet new characters from andy's past and seiing them die one by one? thats harsh way to make fuuko feeling/affection/love deeper and deeper for andy..

wait, can fuuko die in flashback or in the book.???

Okay, this is the first time I got bored of an Undead >< Undead chapter. Usually I like flashback chapters, but this one has so little new info that it seems irrelevant. Although, admittedly this manga is really good if it took 41 chapters to make me bored.

so when i thought we get flashback, we get the moment when victor become andy. why, when, how that happen?
but, it got skip years later.. thats why we got so little information
i guess, its save for later??? or we will get this info and others alongside this andy...

Doubt Fuuko can die else Anno Un would have warned her....I hope.
I think what she saw in this flashback was the first time Andy became "Andy" aka undead, the time before when he was wandering around with his memories missing, saving people and kids in the aftermath of the civil war and being a badass who's wounds heal quickly was not so important like losing his first friends. Fuuko obviously wasn't there back then but the stuff happened similarly: They got drunk, got shoot and Andy stood up, picked up the axes and went on a killing spree. Just this time with Fuuko involved.

She probably can't die for real but I doubt it's perfectly safe. There should be some risks.

Waaaait, is Fuuko's Unluck not working as it should? A bird pooped on Ms Josh's head, but her Unluck should be more lethal than that Or should we assume the entire team being killed off later on was her Unluck at play?
Sad ending though Have a feeling that Ms Josh had feelings for Andy. Just that she never got the chance to tell him.

I hadn't considered that could have been because of her unluck.

If the bird poop was all they got I would have reopened the debate on whether her unluck just causes misfortune (convinient predictable misfortune which transforms into fortune in a way) or just lethality.

If the band's shooting was caused by her then it's consistent.

I can see this being a consistent thing personally in this flashback arc. Assuming her powers are intact in this book world (Like how Undead works for Andy), maybe this time round the reason all of Andy's comrades/acquintances die is going to be because of Fuuko.
Would make for great angst tbh.

Well, she should feel well knowing that anything that happens should be unavoidable either way, since it's Andy's past.

I really hope these two became a oficial couple, it would be cool to see one in these kind of story before the final chapter.

Brilliant dialogue.

Fuuko is a stunning main character, truly. I like that her dialogues aren't ground in ideals/unrealism like most other shonen main characters (My friends give me strength blah blah blah), but she bases what she says on actual experiences. Kinda like what she told Spoil about her not dying till she gets her dreams.

This chapter was very, very good.

Aw shucks, I hoped for some more chapters for this flashback, but I guess the most important points have been said and Fuuko realized for herself that she really is in love with Andy. And that in just 42 chapters. Usually this takes way longer, lol. But this series does everything a bit faster, even the love parts.^^

Once upon a time there was Ushio and Tora, a shonen from the '90s that you may or may not know. In it, our two main characters are at some point sent into the past, to a point in time where an event important for the plot is supposed to happen, to live the flashback themselves. They meet some people, befriend them, and eventually become part of the reason why the aforementioned event takes place, mainly because they are a source of motivation for those friends. They even have a brief encounter with Hakumen, the main villain of the series, that explains why she remembers them when she sees them in present day.

Back in the day I thought this was a very original way to tell a flashback and I have never seen such a technique after that...until Undead Unluck. I suppose once every 30 years is fair enough, and in both occasions it was impactful and a great flashback arc, different from the standard.

in this page andy's reveal his last memory was 'lincoln assassination???? and said to fuuko. "...you'll go there"
so the flashback is not done yet, i think.. we will see andy's tranformation from victor there?? by whom? the prez itself???

oh yeah, in chapter 1, we got little hint when andy protect the president and get permanent shot,,,

this 2 chapter is prelude from actual flashback.. damn

7 Deadly Sins did the same thing recently, showing the war between the Angels and Demons and humans, sending two characters back to take part.
