Sorry but is that just uncreative or pure laziness to recycle all character without at least switching their roles? [Sun-Ken Rock]
Clamp does it to but at least with a bit of variety. They say something about Easter Eggs and interconnection but at least i couldn't see the last one and believe that it is easier to draw characters faster that you already did for several years instead of new ones.

To be fair the re-using of character models has a term, so while it might be just for laziness, the author might as well be a fan of Tezuka (and its system).

Also lots of mangaks do it, not just CLAMP, out of the top of my head.. Masami Kurumada, Akira Toriyama (We all know his DQ designs are DB-esque to say the least), Hiroyuki Takei..

Uncreative of using what Osamu has done for decades with his star ensamble[Hige Oyaji, Ken'ichi, Azetylen Lampu, etc]? It's his choice, readers will directly know what every character is about without much background info or is it just the designs only without any characteristics?

Well Toriyama's designs were similar because that's his art style, can't really say that many characters looks the same though, just recurring medieval themes for the characters. Tite's characters often have the same facial structure, doesn't turn them into copies of themself though.

The colored lightning takes away from the nice pencil art though, I hate it when things are overdone.

Onepunch-Man is a really interesting original story, and can be read totally free online legally. The original comic it's based on is also coming out weekly for free (And is about 60 chapters ahead), but it's really sketchy. Murata does some artistic interpretation that makes it a lot better. Supposedly those volumes have some big omake chapters in them.

I do hope the volumes sell well and it'll maybe promote the Tonari no Young Jump business model of free manga.
