Talked with a young mangaka who will launch his first series in #Shonenjump soon. Calm but full of ambition. Good luck on him.

Looks like another serie is going to start. No idea which it could be, but this is clearly a sign that in the next weeks one of the series is going to end. Or what do you think?

Was wondering what was happening with that, I remember he mentioned a couple new series coming in May but all we got was Ikkyu

If something goes I'd say Dois Sol or Shinigami, hopefully the former.

I saw that it is from 8 chapters ago, so if Naruto is now going to have 540 this would be the 532 ?

I think it's chapter 533, because I've read you've got to count the new one too.

Nice TOC. Naruto number 2, yay! Am glad to see Beelzebub in the top 3. Magico hold strong in the middle. Mago at 9th, that's pretty good hope it keeps up with a good position like that. Can't complain about Bleach's ranking this week because of it's fixed position so I hope it ranks well next week.

Pretty decent week overall. Glad to see Medaka above the top and Mago finally getting up from the bottom rankings after being in a slump for months.

Sort of interested in what the new series is gonna be, but it seems obvious that Dois Sol is gonna be the sacrifice for it.

This weeks TOC is great. Toriko at first is well deserved. Also good to see Beelzebub that high. Really glad that Magico is holding on with a decent rank, and I hope it will go on for a long time. It's been really interesting untill now, and it got a lot of potential.

The cover is also really good. Nice colors, and I love Franky in the back

Gintama color page? It's been getting a lot lately. I sorta wonder if the commemoration is for a serious arc is coming up, since this is about the time they usually occur. Although normally the color pages are on gag chapters....

I hope the new series is another SOCCER MANGA. We just can't go too long without another one to crash and burn. Without one, the balance of power in recent years will be screwed up.

I'm happy Toriko is #1. It has been an enjoyable series and well deserved. Zebra is all kinds of awesome. I'm happy with Sket Dance taking #4 as well. Getting the recognition it deserves. Combined with Medaka dodging the bottom 5 this is a good week for me.

The first chapter normally should be available in English in the next...2 weeks maybe (?) on the English shonenjump website. Just like it happened with the other new series. But yeah, I also hope one of the Edited Manga groups starts this project, even though I think it's a lot of work for the translators, so imo it'll be difficult. But you never know what'll happen, so let's see.

From what I've read while lurking on their site, Clockwork Lies (the new group that also picked up Sengoku Armors) is going to pick up Ikkyuu.

And yeah, the translation's gonna be hard work. It'll be difficult, but hopefully most of the puns and wordplay won't get lost in translation.

i just read bakuman and the colour page looks totally awesome! =) i don'T know if the reason is the high quality from the raw provider, but it's the cleanest and brightest i ever saw.

Obata is one of the best colorist of Jump IMO. He always does new amazing stuff, playing with colors, tones, patterns, etc.

He is very creative and does a great job.

Ohba does the coloring? Didn't know that one. Always thougt Takeshi Obata is the man for drawing + coloring.

No problem I actually believed it for a moment there xD But I share the same opinion as you, he certainly is one of the best in terms of coloring.
