I originally thought Amalgam of Destruction was gonna be great, and Spring Weapon No.1 was gonna be trash.
But I thought Spring Weapon had a fantastic first chapter, while Amalgam was only a decent start

I read Tomohiro Hasegawa's oneshot that was based on Spring Weapon No.1 and it was great. But Spring Weapon No.1 is more good than oneshot and I think that it's more good than Amalgam. I hope Japanese readers approve this manga!

Out of the new manga jump manga released this year, Spring Weapon feel amongst the most unique, premise wise

If anything I'd call it the least unique series premise wise in the past year, it's the second series in a row about a high school secret agent meeting a super weapon who breaks out a lab.

There's also Red Sprite, a series about an escaped military super weapon breaking his other military super weapon friends out of labs.

It definitely had the best first chapter of the three but unique is the opposite of what I'd call it.

Its 400 now the normal price for WSJ series.
Some volumes have more content are a bit pricier like volume 25 of Nisekoi costs 450
kochikame volume 200 normal version costs 700 and the special version 900.

Dragon Ball Super vol 1 is also getting a reprint/second edition

Toriko is 12 not 11. One Piece also got in chapter 12, and got a full colored chapter in that issue.

Dont think so. When i went to Japan 3 years ago it was 400, and ive got 20+ year old volumes that have 400 written on the back. So i dont think its changed in ages if at all.
