I freaking hope Viz adds Yaiba. So pissed they added RWBY, so random...

I think Haikyuu and KnY are the only logical choices of what they can add atm. But they've got a long way to catch up in Haikyuu but theyve been slowing down on the releases, so it will probably be at least another year before that gets added. They cant really add any gag series or Yuuna because its too echi, leaving just HZ and Sesuji which will both be ending soon and wouldnt be popular with the western audience anyway.

And Torikos finally ending, huh. Pretty happy tbh, really didnt want the series to pull a Bleach and be ruined even more. Does this mean Sprite/LR/Sesuji will be ending in a few weeks too, i wonder?

I still don't know how Hinomaru is getting yet another center color, despite its popularity not really improving at all.
Toriko's getting a good sendoff though, if it is really ending.

Toriko ending will be bittersweet for me because one of my favorite series of all time is ending but now I'll have way more free time every week. I translated the entire thing. Started when 17 chapters were out.

I dunno if the 31 pages NECESSARILY means it's ending though. From what Heiji said on twitter it might not end until issue 51 and we'll find out next week? I wasn't sure if Shimabukuro was gonna just start another arc of some kind or something.

If so, then I'm glad that it's coming to an end since of being dragged further than it did. Though I'm kind of sad that there will be no space arc for the series.

So after Gintama ends (probably next month) there will be zero series from the previous decade still running within the magazine.
One Piece and HxH will still be running but remnants from the decade before the previous.

It's also the 4th consecutive bottom for Shokugeki. The cover comes in a good moment. It's still safe, since there are 5 or 6 series that should end first, so Tsukuda doesn't need to worry... yet.

Shokugeki, at worst, has one to two more years before being axed. There's just a large popularity/sale gap between it and a lot of series. And well.... there's also another reason why it's bottom 5 4 weeks in...

I question the idea of Toriko ending on issue 50, simply because I can't imagine Jump not giving it a colour page at the very least. Although, with those sales, and those rankings, I never thought that Toriko would keep going like a lot of fans seemed to think.

Hinomaru Zumou being that high is always nice to see. Give it another cover though! My Hero Academia should also be receiving a cover any week now, if we go by the timing of last year's popularity poll results.

Don't hype up one shots authors and be disappointed. Out of all the GFC and one shots

Only Hinomaru Zumo (2013) and Beelzebub (2008) turned from one shot to series and SURVIVE in WSJ. One ran for 6 years while the other is running 2 years strong.

But you know, bleach got a CP 5 chapters before it ended, CP for the 2nd last chapter, an extended CP for the final chapter and a live action movie announcement. That's not a bad way to go at all. Could it have been better? Of course. But it certainly isn't bad at all.
Way better than how toriko seems to be ending. I mean, a CP is definitely required.

How Bleach was treated for it's ending was sadly overshadowed by how much of a mess the content was itself, and by fans who were annoyed that there was still no anime announcement... or certain people trying to start a 'boycott Jump' movement over it. I hope Toriko can at least get a colour page. It deserves that.

Agreed. Fans blew it out of proportion. But again that's expected from fans especially when many of them would have been following the manga for so long.
But I won't agree with them that Kubo was mistreated. He had all the time in the world to do it properly. In fact, bleach being in the bottom for 4 years and still running was probably because of the respect WSJ had for Kubo and bleach. I actually feel the end was planned beforehand but Kubo didn't compress his chapters properly and ended up with this as the result.

In any case, toriko deserved a CP for the end. An extended chapter is nice tho.
