3. Hunter x Hunter (DUH)
4. Gintama, when I do read it
5. Toriko

Of course repeatingly hating Bleach is pretty dull and annoying, but Bleach also deserves many of its criticism. The whole arc right now is pretty boring, imo.
And of course, his choice to call Yhwachs elite force 'Schutzstaffel' was very distasteful.
The arc has been very interesting for the past 30 or so chapters now. I'll agree that the arc right after his hiatus was dull but since Kenpachi's fight, it's been going up. Opinions, I suppose.
The Sternritters were obviously modeled after the Nazis so I don't see why there should be any surprise in such naming patterns.

@Stark700:
I highly doubt, that Kubo actually intended some of these foreshadowings in the first place. Some of them were certainly just coincidences.
He definitely didn't plan some of those ahead. But he did leave himself enough room to play around with such things and connect things, which is commendable from his side. However, none of those were coincidences. They were most definitely intentional from his side either by planning before or by trying to connect things later on.

3. Toriko- I guess? The monkey arc is just so bizzare. I don`t know how is Shimabukuro drawing it with straight face.

I like seeing a new series grow. Don't like how some ppl underestimate it. Those guys give me headaches because they have no idea what they're talking about

Why shouldn't Kubo be capable of foreshadowing? Its easy, like the stuff with Ichigos parents. You just have a general idea in mind, tease that one as vague as possible and later on get back to it. Kishimoto did that and so does Oda. As if Oda sat down 10minutes and scribbled down the exact story from OP for 20years onwards. He introduces stuff, calls random numbers and then later on he fills the missing parts. You can see that clearly whenever a series ends and there are so many loose ends, cause they never were filled in by the mangaka himself. He himself didn't had a idea how stuff works out or how to connect them to the main story. There is simply no oherwise to write such long series.

I don't think "Schutzstaffel" is distasteful. The Quinchi are portrayed as "bad" people so its suits the image of Nazis. Also they are clearly referenced as such. Also we are in an age in which you do jokes on Hitler and such things. Heck they even laughted at Hitler as he was alive, just saying Chaplin here. You can close your eyes about bad stuff happening in the world but it wont go away. Kubo doesn't exploit it to get drama and more attention to his series. Maybe he uses it as a symbolic way, maybe because he is fascinated by the german military doctrine? Look how many american movies use that on to introduce badass villains.

There have been at least a couple of polls which ask which are your favorite manga serialized in Jump+ and many other things
On the sales topic, I think we need to consider these things too (taking in account Jump+ is a free digital platform):
  • You can read all the chapters for free even if you don't buy the volumes, so unless you really like the series or are very curious on what kind of special extra content the volume release has you won't really need to buy the volumes
  • Since the readers who are up-to-date with the series all read it through a digital device, you can expect many of them to buy the digital volumes rather than the paper copies (and also expect to have people who don't even use the app/website and buy only the paper volumes), I think most of this series have a higher percentage of their sales in digital copies than most of the series serialized in the paper magazines
  • Even if the Jump+ app has hell a lot of downloads, many of those probably are from people who want to read the digital Jump

Kubo actually has good foreshadowing. Saying bleach is a fast read saying it doesn't have good writing and foreshadowing. My point is is that the general bleach chapter don't have much content to dig deep into. Of course it has its moments though

Boku no Hero Academia rose up in the rankings of everybody pretty fast. It is 5th for me, the story is not that complex to have to read drinking every word IMO, at least so far. :hmm

The thing is easy: In both cases, Kishimoto & Kubo, I dont believe that they are good in making foreshadowings-
For example, once, a fan asked Kishimoto what the red circles meant on the backs of the Konoha-ninjas, and he responded, he didnt know it himself, but maybe he could make something out it later. And then it was a mememto of the Uzumaki clan or so. And in my eyes, that is not good foreshadowing, because it wasnt planned, but happened trough luck. In Odas case, I actually believes him, that he planned some things years beforehand(which he admited himself). And that makes his storytelling much more compelling to me and many others, because if he foreshowes something, then I know that he knows what he is doing.

It was pretty obvious long time ago that the Vandenreich was inspired by the old german empire & Third Reich, and I dont mind. On the contrary, the parallels and similiarities mixed with bad german were was pretty amusing. But to take the name of Hitlers elite force and giving it Yhwachs elite force was just clumsy & awkward, and just unnecessary.

The arc has been very interesting for the past 30 or so chapters now. I'll agree that the arc right after his hiatus was dull but since Kenpachi's fight, it's been going up. Opinions, I suppose.

Yeahs, definitely opinions, but I dont mind. If someone can still enjoy Bleach, then it is a good thing.^^
I just wanted to say my own opinion in that matter.
And Bleach became better after that battle(although the battle itself was awful, because, well, Gremmy was awful), but I was just underwhelmed by Bleach. The fights arent excitiing to me anymore. Except the one with Mask De Masculine. He was awesome.

The Vandenreich is also clearly inspired by the old german empire, and not just by the Nazis.

I guess, that is a reason, why I read it with more time. Because it is so young, and so successful, we can see the foundation of the BnHA now, to guess, in which direction it will go on later. I'm just interested to see, what we have to expect later.^^

This issue was full of great color pages, a great moment for the magazine, artistically speaking.

Some information about which of the four newcomers will be published in Viz? Kagamigami, Black Clover, Kaizou Ningen Roggy or UBS?

It was discussed before. By what I understood, they are going to take a break with the project and will study its possibility in the future.
Probably, someone will give a more exact information later, but I think none of them will?

Viz claimed they're looking it over still, but none of them are in the issue coming out on Monday. Hard to say what they will do.

Chances are that they're hesitant because they want to get the upcoming Naruto spinoff that will be in Jump.

It makes sense, and is even the most logical, if we think. When the Naruto spinoff end, they probably already have an idea of which of the four series will more success, and then yes, they can decide which one to publish.

Black Clover please, please please please please

I wonder why absolutly nobody notice this. So I will use my bad english to explain it to you.

Nisekoi CP with the result of Favorite chapter poll!
Credits to @kazu4281

Marika dominates everything! First place, finally. The chapter was good, so I don't complain. The top 5 was really good, japanese readers really has a good taste. :nod

What we see here is a ranking of the best Nisekoi chapter by actual Jump reader. Meaning this is the closest thing to the weekly poll result we have to date.

Here are the result of the poll:
The results of the favorite chapter poll are out this week!

1) Chapter 97 - Please: It deserves the first place, this chapter was that where Marika almost kisses Raku with the help of Mikage.
2) Chapter 49 - Acting: The final chapter of the Romeo & Juliet with Chitoge realizing that she loves Raku.
3) Chapter 115 - Don't worry: Last chapter of the arc about Ruri and her grandfather. Deserves the place, one the best arcs of the series.
4) Chapter 98 - Good Day: Chapter about Onodera's past with Raku. Quite good.
5) Chapter 57 - Realize: A chapter that many people would call filler, but which is great got the 5th place! It is a signal! XD
As we can see, this is the 5 best chapter of Nisekoi according to Jump reader.

So what the TOC has to say about those 5 chapter ?

IT'S FUCKING NOTHING

There is absolutly no correlation between all those chapter no matter the scale of measurement used.

Okay, that poll is not the most accurate thing ever and even and myself struggling to take it completely seriously (the chapter 97 is obviously the number one because of Y-san), but it's from my point of view the most unbiased link between the TOC and the actual popularity of a chapter in the Jump that we have today.

So until a new progress on the subject, their is no direct correlation between the TOC and the poll result, maybe a medium term correlation exist but that's all.
