No dude, black clover has a color page, its not ranked. Soma is #1
Shokugeki no Soma is in 1st with color page or not, it is above Black Cover. :lmao
Also, I really doubt that it would be above One Piece and AC, but it is not another story...

Today my friend who is reading Black Cover and denied the plagiarism earlier commented with me that chapter 11 was "so Magi-ish" according to him. :lmao

From the new wave of manga have the best chances to be around for a long time Black Clover.Huge world with countries(for know the story is only around Aster Country) Magic knights leaders(Hokages in naruto,Captains of SS in Bleach...),weak dump main protagonist in the begining(Luffy,Naruto,Ichigo,Natsu...).Amazing art so far better then many shounen mangas.Mangaka is verry carefull because his firs manga Hungry Jocker was cancelled. She was too hard to understand and specific that is why in Black Clover he prefer more tradional way.
Luffy want to became Pirate King
Naruto want to be Hokage
Yoh Asakura want to be Shaman King
Aster want to became Wizard King(not for fame but because normal people out of the cirlce live in misery. He want all people to be equal)

there is power source(mana) like rejatsu in Bleach or Chakra in Naruto.

We have magicians, demons and I'am sure we will see more powers in future like in HxH.

Yeas this manga take something specific from Naruto,Shaman King,HunterxHunter,D.Gray Man,Magi,Fairy Tale,Soul Eater and Bleach and that's why have potential to be better then all of them.

I will not discuss if Black Cover will be this or that or if it will be around for a long time, it doesn't even have a volume to see the sales and we already saw series starting well and crumbling so (I'm telling it here for the hundredth time) hold your horses. It is too much hype for a series that barely started.

Speaking of sales, does anyone know how much One Piece sold in the first year of serialization?

One Piece 1st volume had a 1st print of 300k copies. Compared to that Boku no Hero Academia volume only had 300k copies in its 2nd print.

It could just be hype and One Piece could have not sold much in its first volume, but by the end of the following year(One Piece 1st volume came in the end of 1997), with 6 volumes, One Piece print number averaged 1 Million copies for each volume(6 million copies in print).
For comparison, such print numbers are the ones Kuroko no Basket in its peak of popularity had. Last year Assassination Classroom had those exact same print numbers. Haikyuu!! still has a smaller print number average right now. It will be extremely hard for Boku no Hero Academia to reach those numbers, given that it seems it is resting in the 300k sales right now.

By the 2nd year(1999), with 11 volumes, One Piece had a print number average of 1.55 Million copies for each volume(17 million copies in print). Last year Naruto volume 68, only got a 1st print of 1.4 Million copies. Given that in 1 year Naruto volumes only sell around 1.2 Million copies, I would assume that 1st print number was for a long time similar.

Thanks (One Piece is a monster)! I was curious because I have seen at another site a list of the supposed best selling manga of 1998 and One Piece was in ninth place. Now I wonder how much Dragon Ball sold per year...

Can you post that site? Please.

I don't know how Dragon Ball sold per year, but I know that Slam Dunk was doing better when they were running at the same time. Slam Dunk at the time had the record of biggest 1st print numbers in a volume, with 2.5 millions copies(Value that was only beaten later by One Piece). Attack on Titan prints right now around 2.6 Million copies per volume. So Slam Dunk was selling around Attack on Titan numbers at that time, close to 2 millions copies in 1 year.

In terms of Copies per volume right now, Dragon Ball has a close number to Slam Dunk, though Slam Dunk has still more. So I assume they were selling close to each other 2 million copies in 1 year.

I don't remember exactly because it was a japanese site. But the guys from MAL did a interesting research with the sales of each year since 1995. The positions in the ranking are not a surprise, but the amount of sales...

I like how at least 4 series from that top 20 are still ongoing and how they're all series that don't seem any close to ending.
