It's the crazy in me, but I'm still not read to count Best Blue out yet. Hopefully the readers voted for the improved chapters.

Jump Plus really needs a sports series.

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I hope it is alright to ask this here.
I am always curious why Bleach's rank is very low until now....is it really that bad? Because tbh I quite like it. It's always at bottom 5 and makes me wondering if that is not the case, that the publisher design it to be the bottom while the rank is higher than that. Can anyone give me insight of this matter?

Bleach could be last place and it wouldn't matter as long as it sold millions. I dunno if it is its real rank or not but in any case Bleach will continue to be in Jump for a long time. A long long time...

The editors place it there, its ye years old, it gives a reason to people to flip all the way through the magazine.

The series gradually got worse and worse positions, it wasn't an instant thing. During the same time, the series got pronounced declines in anime TV ratings, that even got the anime cancelled, and manga sales, as well.
While the TOC isn't a pure readers ranking, it is a strong indication of how the series are performing. Bleach is indeed performing horrible! But also note that the rankings are made by people voting for their 3 most preferred series of the respective issue, so this just means Bleach isn't anymore one of the most liked series in the magazine like it was before, not that it is disliked.

You shouldn't be worried about Bleach rankings though. Not only the series already made a strong contribution to the magazine: 8 years as 3rd best series, but it also sells a lot for Shueisha with 600k copies in print for each latest volume, retailers sell the same number in an year(This is financially incredibly, but unfortunately for Bleach franchise is a big decline given that it already had print numbers of 1.2 Million copies and the best retailer sells we got(data started in 2008) it sold 955k a 1/3 addition).
Given this the series has everything to end it run in a natural manner.

Bleach is this series that everyone reads but no one would rank as one of their favorites.

That's why it doesn't get votes.

If the rankings were based on which series is read by the most people, Bleach would probably be near the top. But it is not, it is based on favorite series. (By favorite i mean "one of three favorites" but yeah)

Will Shokugeki no Souma (late 2012) become popular when Assassination Classroom (2012) and Nisekoi ( 2011) end in 1-2 year ?

Right now it is the 4th highest sales volume for WSJ .

In my personal opinion, the only series right now that have potential to become a million seller is My Hero Academia.

MHA's popularity is something that I'm sure is certain. I feel like if the anime is good, it'll match the waves SnK made with its anime, and will fully secure its place as a legendary pillar of JUMP.

It's one of very few series I am sure will be known/loved by kids everywhere in a couple of years, an international success on par with Naruto.

The "problem" with some series to become million sellers is that they aren't the kind of series with very long duration. For example, Assassination Classroom, it's great, but the premise is not enough for extend indefinitely, as a typical battle manga. Now, only Haikyuu!! and Shokugeki no Soma can meet the requirement, besides Boku no Hero Academia, of course. World Trigger and Toriko already passed its opportunity, and talking about Black Clover is soon.

That is not the case. Jump readership changes every five years on average. There are a lot of current Jump readers that are not reading Bleach since they didn't have the incentive to buy all the previous volumes to catch up with this series.

Especially considering how well Zumo does in the rankings on a weekly basis. Well, it's as the saying goes, "Correlation doesn't always imply causation." Zumo makes a strong case for that quote. Does that list account for digital sales, too, by any chance?

Wow. WT is literally 2-3 spots above Toriko. I guess the push WSJ gave WT paid off at least a little bit.

"Ovaries no seraph 9" :teehee

By the way, since the public digital raws are available: The Furigana on the Kanji shows clearly that the new series is read "Mononofu" (ふ fu) and not Mononobu (ぶ bu) like Mangaupdates transcribed it or Mononoho (ほ, ho)

I dont count being in the bottom five a push. And It got only one Lead CP since October.

I dont think so. I have never seen any real data about digital sales. We only have online bookstores ranking. And Zumo is not that high there.
