I hate how Bleach fans use that sick child story to combat any criticism you give towards Bleach.

Like "HEY! He wrote that story the way he wanted to because a dying child asked him to. How dare you criticize the story and HOW DARE Jump for cutting the story short!"

Like how do we even know the sick child even existed? Even Kubo said he couldn't find any traces of the story even being real lol. And even so that doesn't make the end of Bleach a masterpiece even if a sick child asked Kubo to write it how he wanted lol

It was kinda weird seeing how much people reacted to the last 5-6 chapters, as if that was the only issue with the final arc. The majority of the final arc was trash. A bad arc had a bad ending... who would have thought. That's coming from someone who enjoyed the Lost Agent arc.

Arguable it was bad after the end of the Aizen arc, which by the way is where Kubo should've ended it.

By the end it just seemed that Kubo lost interest in the characters he created. Ichigo especially.

I think the greatest challenge in writing is actually ending your series. Although I thought it was a strong finale for BLeach it had the hallmark features of what happens when you have an expansive story that needs a conclusion that turns from just a one or two chapter thing into a multi mini arc multi year saga.

The greatest thing before Bleach ended was when @yonkouproductions trolled everyone about its ending a week early . That was glorious.

And then when he posted the epilogue which features the children, the shippers said that it was fake and calling out names. That was also glorious.

Bleach or at the very least Bleach's style and aesthetic was what got me into manga in general and to see it slowly turn to crap the way it did was rather disheartening. As HEAVILY flawed and generally crap as it eventually turned out to be the first couple of arcs still hold a place of fondness for me.

I'm surprise they still exist considering how much it fell off everyone's radar and yes I'm very much aware of the irony. Anyways blind worship is never healthy and the whole appeal of Kubo was that for a while he was just a meme that existed to mock how bad the manga had gotten it lost its appeal when people actually started taking him seriously or playing him as a victim.

The same could be said for any manga series super fan really. Liking a series is all fine and well it's when the fans start attacking others when they openly express their views on the series the series you like is when the true problem really starts, which in turn makes both the series as a whole look bad. Also why is it some fans can't see the short comings that accompany any series?

Its weird seeing how Bleach has sunk so low that if u were not aware of manga prior to 2010 u would not have guessed that Bleach was up there with OP and Naruto.

Im not kidding yall i seen a few people who dont even recognize bleach as a mainstream series like OP and Naruto. And see it as a semi popular/underrated show(see that Panel that labled Bleach underrated and called BC the worst manga).

Whether u like OP or Naruto they will go down as sure fire legends.
And One Piece will go down as a National Treasure most likely

Not only him, but most of YOU were overhyping it as the manga that would blow the competition outta the water. Good thing I had my expectations low with the veterans. It´s difficult to see a smash hit out of DR Stone by now

We were making predictions based on the creators and character designs. Just because we were predicting that it'll blow everything out the water doesn't mean we have to stand that once we actually read it.

With him I'm saying that he thinks almost every new Jump series that drops is the next big thing, and hyped up every battle Shonen as being great. Like Barrage, Red Sprite, Demon's Plan, ect.

I don't think bottom 5 is really a bad sign for anything right now when there is only 9 series being ranked tbh
