I've heard from a few friends that read SW1 that it seems close to ending is that true?
No, they're still episodic chapters. Although being episodic it could technically end on a chapters notice, but nothing out of the ordinary. Last one was them competing in the schools athletics carnival.

I kinda like SW1 more than all of the new series except for RxL to be honest. Shame it sells so poorly.

It does seem to have gotten pretty funny.

Spring Weapon ranked above Black Clover. BC fans BTFO :teehee
Seriously though, how is it still alive? Is Jump really trying to push this as their next token gag manga? Im not sure, but i'm pretty sure Saiki sold more than SW1 early on.
RIP PekoMari, you won't really be missed. Wonder if Tamura will try coming back to WSJ or just go to a less competitive magazine. 3rd times the charm, man.

It sometimes does take a while for a series to figure itself out and get properly established, Spring Weapon started at a great time of year for that due to the lack of cancellations leading up to the batch of 6.

I honestly kind of hope volume sales don't improve since it gives rise to an interesting situation, we know Jump is happy to keep around 20k-30k sellers as long as they rank well but what about under 10k? That feels a little bit too low for WSJ even if its a gag series, would they really keep a terrible selling series with no growth around purely because of good rankings?

That does raise an interesting question now that I think about it, should they keep it because casual fans like it or should they give it a gentle push out the door because it doesn't sell? Looking at it from a business prospective it make more sense if since it's been ranking decently here recently and sales don't improve within a certain time frame they'd cancel it, but that's just my thoughts on it.

Tamura must be friend of a bigshot there in Jump for getting a CP with this terrible ranking that was more than expected.
Yes that's true I can confirm it. He took me out to a high class sushi restaurant so I gave him that CP. Don't tell anybody though :3c.

I would think WNL will have some chance when the first volume dropped. If it does 50k first week then they probably keep it for couple more volumes.

I'll bet you Samon CP will announce it's entering the climax and ending soon

Nah, the TOC is what matters. Koisome Momiji was better and sold 50k in the first volume, it was cancelled in 4 volumes.

Don't forget that the magazine also sells! And more than individuals volumes.

Is not Magazine rankings versus sales. In fact is, Magazine sales plus Volume sales. I would assume they would keep it if the sum of both magazine and volumes is reasonable and if there is no competition sending it away.

Doesnt appear that HeroAca is growing, curious what the overall series sales each week is, if that is still being reported.
