There's still something slightly off about the designs. I think they look fine though.

Stain looks good, but I'm not that familiar with his voicing roles. I can't remember what he sounds like, but hopefully he'll be fine. Also, could that picture at the bottom left be from the new OP? That would be neat.

Preview images of the two new series:

I knew that it wouldn't go well, Tokyo Wonder Boys art makes me think that the guy(?) of the story is a tomboy.
The soccer manga also has a character with questionable gender.

The designs do look a bit off from the manga, but it's not as bad as the OVA. Asta looks less annoying here than in the manga at least. He also looks less like a midget cause head size/shape and he's basically level with Yuno.

Anime designs will always be slightly off though. So much better than the OVA at least.

It´s gonna be a faithful adaptation all over again, for God´s sake. Or well, so I think, but I don´t know. It´s just that a good chunk of the series he´s worked on are faithful adaptations, which I didn´t want here, because there´s a lot of non-canon stories they can add. And those are the only ones I would watch out of this. But they´re gonna copy the glorified template that is the manga, so I expect it doesn´t become popular if it goes for the 1:1 route.

We get it, you dislike 1:1 adaptations. That's pretty dumb to assume that it's going to be a 1:1 adaptation when the anime is being handled by Pierrot, which is notoriously known for its filler.

You shouldn't have to worry about that. It's Studio Pierrot we're talking about. Plus as much poor plot is in BC I give credit to Tabata for leaving much leeway for the anime team to include extensions and filler scenes, so I do believe they will do justice so I'm looking forward to the anime.

Never thought Id see the day where "Pierrot" and "Faithful" were used in the same sentence.

Hello, Yona and elDlive are 1:1 copies. They have their ocassional 1:1 copies, so I expect this doesn't become one.

And are we still calling non canon stories "FILLER"? sigh. That's not its name, that should stop being used already.

Even if it's significant to the plot, it's filling in gaps that weren't in the manga, so by definition it's filler

So first you say you expected it to be a faithful 1:1, and now you're saying you expect it not to... Hope that's just a typo or something on your part because it's really not helping your case here.

Anyway, Yona and Eldlive were both short running anime (24 and 12 episodes respectively), so of course they would focus on faithfully adapting the source material 1:1. Twin Star Exorcists, on the other hand, was a longer running 50 episode anime, so Pierrot had more room to add anime only content.

In Black Clover's case, I expect it to be at least 50 episodes with some anime only content like TSE, but if it's a 24 episode anime, then I expect little filler.

Really, whether there will be filler or not all boils down to the length of the anime project.

Edit: Yes, it's called filler and people will continue to call it that. Deal with it.

Even if Perriot is known to have a lot of filler with how many chapters are currently out and with the addition of the light-novel that will probably be adapted into the anime the likely hood of filler episodes happening is low for the time being, the extension of scenes in an episode is still on the table, that is if it's going to be a seasonal anime, which could happen, or not. Like what's been said it really boils down to the number of episodes and any other information that can pop up between now and when it actually airs.

And are we still calling non canon stories "FILLER"? sigh. That's not its name, that should stop being used already.
The definition of filler is any material added to lengthen the story of an anime whether it be a scene or a whole episode, also if we don't call it filler what should it be called then?

Maybe we should call it "non-canon anime only content absent from the source material intended to expand upon the original story" instead of filler because, you know, it's not called filler (contrary to what pretty much everyone will tell you).
