I'm not devaluing Kimetsu. I liked it when I read it, but it had some flaws, like not much villain development in the arcs, and the 3 main characters had no development whatsoever(Tanjiro seemed to be 1 dimensional). But this isn't why I put it on hold. And I think it doesn't need to push the boundaries to R-rated territory demonstrate that is gory.

And in the topic of studios that can handle it, JC staff has directors that can handle it, A-1 has the graphic capability when it's the A or sometimes the B team. I don't know other studios that can do it, but the thing is that a AA studio can do as good of a job as the AAA studios. We never think about that.
You make it sound like it's bad. Every series has flaws. The main trio will get their development but Tanjirou & Zenitsu are fleshed out. Inosuke needs more work but I'm certain all three will get developed well. You only read 32 chapters...Tanjirou isn't 1 dimensional at all.
Yay, more overpraise to the AAA studios!!!!!!!!!! Why no one says JC Staff, A-1 or some AA studio that can do a good work too?

And on the topic of censorship, has Kimetsu become more violent in recent chapters? And how much? I read up to chapter 32, but it was as violent as Inuyasha, which is chunks of blood, but nothing too graphical. It didn't push the boundaries with its violence.
AAA studios? JC staff did a trash job on season 2. The staff behind it was lame and A1 has no identity. Just a bunch of outsourcing so I can't decide but what they do to Magi/NNT is questionable. A1 pictures is just...weird....unpredictable.

It gets more violent. Not Toriko level as someone mentioned but it's pretty high on the gore metere.
hahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THey haven't yet done an action-oriented show, so good luck waiting

LMAO. Wtf? That doesn't matter. Besides Madoka had action scenes that were well done, are you suggesting they aren't capable? Or it doesn't fit Shaft's "image"? Guess what, most shows are directed by Shinbou. Wanna know what else he worked on? YYH...he animated some of the best scenes in the Dark Tournament and Chapter Black. Sure obviously not a Shaft show but the director has a lot of experience with action shows.

I wouldn't call KnY some sort of action oriented heavy show either. "Good luck waiting" can be said to everyone since our guesses are more or less equal.

:hip Yuragi got a cover, time to go back to lurking until its 2nd cover in December, where the anime will be announce at Jump Fiesta.

Unless the author completely shifts the storyline, i think Yuragi will only be between 20~25 volumes max.

I think it is funny when people say "I'm not trying to devalue to the series, I like the series, but it has its flaws" as if they are bowing apologetically while saying it as if it was something outrageous. For some people here it is, so I understand, but let's face reality, every series has flaws!
Except for One Piece, One Piece is perfect. :luffy

Saiki getting a colour page is always nice to see, as is Hinomaru being in the top 5.

I dunno about monthly, but regarding weekly sales I don't think any new manga will sell more than 30k

speaking of the volumes, they're releasing a lot of volumes this month
WSJ: 10 volumes
Saikyo: 5 volumes
Plus: 14 volumes
SQ: 4 volumes

Woah. Hopefully that's just picture quality, because you can barely make out Dr. STONE amongst the grittiness.

On the topic of a theoretical Kimetsu adaptation, my thoughts are that Madhouse is definitely a good pick because they seem like they can handle gritty anime quite well. Death Note, Hunter x Hunter, Highschool of the Dead, Death Parade, etc.
A1, on the other hand, mainly handles colorful light novel adaptations.
Mappa could probably do a good job as well, considering the president's interest in adapting older anime.

What if I tell you that Studio Deen can handle Promised Neverland?

"Oh, no. Don´t say that. It´s a curse. IT´s bad."

Yeah., then you prefer Shaft´s oversaturation of images. For me, the most impressive feature of Neverland is the composition. Not the detailed art, which is not that detailed in black and white. It´s how the panels are managed to convey the information and the talking. That can be done with Deen´s budget too, just look Rakugo Shinjuu. Shaft made talking in the Monogatari franchise awesome, but that´s because there´s too much talking and wordplay and puns. Neverland has more simple and to the point dialogue that doesn´t need Shaft´s Imagegasm to be interesting.

The same goes for Kimetsu. It doesn´t need a AAA studio to be a good series. I bet you were expecting Shaft to do Shokugeki no Soma when it didn´t need to be them. In the end, the JC Staff you criticize makes the food look delicious, as they put an effort that I don´t see other studio put in making food look good.

Ever heard of Koufuku Grafitti? Probably not, since it aired 2 years ago and was forgotten soon after it ended, but here's a hint: it's a food anime from Shaft.
Who are you even talking to when you say that we apparently want Shaft to adapt Neverland? Or that we also apparently expected Shaft to adapt Shokugeki? What mental gymnastics do you go through to come to these conclusions?

Seriously man, you're ridiculous.

JC Staff make the food in Shokugeki look good because it's a story ABOUT food. It's not because they're JC Staff.

Thank you for saying this. It's totally hopeless though.

Looks like Bokuben didn't make the volume sales rankings again. Is it really selling that well, with reprints and all? I would've expected it to maybe show up after all the reprint hype (the first reprint).
I'm not sure what the timing was but it's possible the reprints just hit stores in the middle of the week being tracked so the numbers wouldn't have a whole week of sales.

Seems to be more a case of them severely underestimating it rather than it selling tonnes. Don't know if those numbers posted before are real or not, but 20k is pretty pathetic. Guess they fully believed it would flop, but it's actually doing decent, so they're having to print so much more. Even so, it would be difficult to break into the charts on it's third week, regardless of how well it's doing.

On the topic of HM, RxL and Stone. I'm thinking 15-20 for HM, 25-30 for Stone, and 30-50 for RxL.

Its not that its not selling well; its selling decently for a romcom shonen jump series. Shoseki estimates it at around [43,900部 (集計24日)]. This is actually a conservative estimate as the POS of shoseki is fewer than Oricon so its probably at least 5-10k more. The ranking for this past week also went up from 278位 to 81位. Even if its getting reprints, Shueisha aren't idiots. They're not going to print so much more for a fledgling series and start having to deal with leftover copies which will sit in the back of stores. Each reprint is probably around 15k copies max. Even with this print, its not like all the copies are going to be sold but if at least around 8k are sold, they'll print another 15k copies. Kimetsu is also probably like this. They won't suddenly print huge numbers and start having warehouse issues. It makes more sense to print less and reprint more to not overestimate the numbers than print in huge quantities and have leftover stock.

In the case of this upcoming batch, its a 6 day first week. Putting Marie aside, if Stone and Robo really only sell around 30k in 6 days, that's hopelessly pathetic considering the hype around the series, especially in Robo's case as they will definitely put Kuroko on the front. That's Sumo level. They should do at least around 60k.
