Gonzo? That does concern me a bit... maybe there will be a good staff... In case you didn't know, at some point they went bankrupt but now they're back. The last two cour anime they made was Last Exile: Fam, The Silver Wing, in 2011. Visually, I don't expect much, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, I look forward to the key visual. The last time Gonzo adapted a WSJ manga was 2005 (Black Cat). October sounds good, maybe the staff will save the day.


Are they a better choice than Toei? Proabably. Rest in pieces the Production I.G dream.

Gonzo is... havent done much interesting in the last decade. But eh, I’ve long since resigned myself to it being low budget. Gonna be hype af regardless. Also totally wasn’t expecting this to air this year.

Muhyo and Roji anime is great news! And so soon too.

Well, at least the general director has experience when it comes to sports anime adaptations. He has a lot of experience with longer running shows, which makes me wonder if Hinomaru will have 50 episodes and that it will replace Black Clover in fall, the fact that there are two directors might also be a clue. I can't say much about the character designer, at least until I see tha visual. The show will have at least two cours for sure.
