If that's what Jump thinks is suitable for transferring from Giga.... Disgraceful
Fumino is high so that's goodGood to know that Japan still has men of culture with good taste
It is not the first time he does it, look at volume 11.Another BC chapter were half of the art is just sketches. At this rate he'll have to redo half the volume containing the chapters.
Last Noah's Notes chapter ended withWell, it looks like Act-Age might survive for a while longer, but I still don't think it will surpass the 100 chapters. It might become the next Samon-kun or Spring Weapon.
Jujutsu probably has no chance of survival. I looked at the raws of the newest chapters, they certainly looked a little interesting, but imo interesting visuals alone aren't enough to make a manga good. Especially if it takes 7-8 chapters for the visuals to get interesting.
Ziga died for me after the most recent reveal, because that reveal was way too early into the story, I believe. I'm not even sure if I like that twist at all. It's just that they just casually revealed the greatest mystery of the manga 5 chapters in. It definitely started off interesting, but to me this goes into the category of "good potential, bad execution".
Noah's Notes still looks ok, although I can't really comment that much without reading the translated chapters. It looks interesting, but I feel like Ikezawa definitely needs to introduce a few more interesting characters asap.
Hikaru no go had a big successRandom thoughts I'm having about two new mangas:
-Shogi: for some reason, shogi has never worked in Shonen Jump. Aesthetics (and title) remind me a lot to Sangatsu no Lion, but dunno. Just found chapter 4 raw from GIGA and art is meh. Plot about this manga should be known since it has already been published last year in Giga, but didn't find anything. Anyways, I'm getting axe vibes from this, dunno.
-Romcom: That pic reminded me to Toradora. Dunno about the plot, and at first glance is one boy - one girl relationship instead one boy - tons of girls. Still, BokuBen is already the Jump romcom of current age, so I think it will be also axed. Survival will depend of it battling against... Act-tage.
Jujutsu isn't still in a pretty bad position despite being 10th this week. Let's see what happens to Ziga in 2 weeks.
Main disadvantage for newbies is that almost all Jump is already consolidated (BokuBen and RxL are already consolidated titles). So for all newbies starting with Act-tage, they rely of one of consolidated titles to end soon.
Saiki ended some weeks ago. Gintama seems isn't going to end soon (I see it getting 40-50 more chapters at least). I still think Shokugeki is going to surprise us very soon with an announcement of it ending. That will be the chance for 1 newbie to get one ''main spot''.
Yeah. Meanwhile, shogi had no success in Jump.Hikaru no go had a big success
Go and Shogi are two different gamesHikaru no go had a big success
Ikezawa shogi manga had a very cute gyar---girl. Still, got axed. The formula for a successful shogi manga is easy.

It's kinda sad that when you think about, Soma's peak is the Autumn Election Arc. That's like around volume 12? That arc isn't that incredible compared to other shonen peak arcs. It's been slightly declining since that arc for me then took a steep decline with the central saga. I can't see how it can possibly recover from this. The difference lies in the fact that Soma is way past its peak while MHA has probably not reached its peak yet.
That's too savage, take my like. The formula for a successful shogi manga is easy.
