Alice to Taiyou was really cool.
It's my favorite of this serialization round.

Btw, I just read Jujutsu Kaisen.
I really enjoyed it, I hope it sells well to stay in the magazine.

Alice to Taiyou has a really beautiful art. Quite unique in some way to me. I'll read it when it's out

She was best girl Tsugumi in Nisekoi, I think it’s fair to think she’ll do it justice

But fuck me, Hori's CV being announced this early does make quite worried, she only gets properly introduced after the rematch against Ishigami High, I only pray they will try to make her do cameos here and there before becoming the manager
She seems pumped for this :super

And she's a cutie :hearts

Regardless of how pumped the staff and cast are, which is great, I can't really see Sumou taking off like I want it to. I don't see any aggressive promotion campaigns or anything. Its just standard late-night anime fanfare and seeing how recent Jump anime have been I bet it might even have a slow start, further hurting its growth. I hope I'm wrong. The show needs to get to the blood-pumping action right away while keeping characterization, etc.

My expectations are reasonably low as well. Although HZ has a lot of volumes out so making it to the top 30 shouldn't be that hard of a task.

Also, just doing a quick search on Gonzo makes me worried since I heard they're notorious for using CGI and people don't have high hopes on the studio. The visual looks pretty good but we have to wait and see how the PV is.

Kawada deserves so much more :'(

So, did Viz reemplace RxL, or is an empty slot?

i cant imagine they could really make a deal in under 7 days to get its replacement, assuming they were also caught off guard by how abruptly it ended

Inoue really doesn't play fair. Slam Dunk's rearranged version batch 2 were just released and they'll most probably take up some top 10 spots for this week's Oricon. The first batch already sold over a million altogether so these will probably do somewhere in that vicinity as well. This means that Slam Dunk as a series will sell around 5 million this year, putting it in the top 5 in the Yearly chart based on past years. He's hasn't released any new work in a while and he still gets into the top of the yearly charts.

Alice to Taiyou was pretty nice, and I`m not really a fan of musical manga. Hope at least this one manages to stick around for a while.

A new Slam Dunk anime would sell at least 8k-10k per volume.
