And I still do not see what the problem is.
The problem is that Tabata for some reason didn't manage to put out the usual amount of pages (16-19) for a series like his (again, might I add), and that is always a reason for concern.

I dont see what is wrong with BLack Clover page count. Tabata's storytelling is efficiently handled that allows him to deliver and give us as much impact as he has seen fit. There is no reason to be concerned.

The same applies to Horikoshi, yet there somebody advised a two year hiatus...

Anyway, if I were a Black Clover fan, I'd be worried about Tabata's work schedule or his health. Though he usually recovers from this stuff without a break, an action series getting reduced page counts semi-regularly is not a good thing.

I wonder if Tabata's had to do a bunch of new anime things that are taking up time, especially since it seems they'll adapt the LN next week which I imagine doesn't have many images to base the settings and backgrounds and such on.

And on a related note, I wonder if Horikoshi's page count will go up again now that MHA s3 is done and the movie's out.

Cobsidering that the last three-two chapters were 15-16 pages...

Shorter chapter i better than no one.

Did you read the last ten chapters ?

173-174-176 were all 15-16 pages.

Again

Shorter chapters are not a problem.

It's different and in fact, in horikoshi's words, Shameful. In horikoshis consistent short chapters theres litrally nothing going on leaving people grasping for straws at reasons for his deteriorating creative output.

In tabata's case short chapters are extensively detailed, ornate and viscerally moving that it's no surprise that hes self limited on page count. Even past cases showed incomplete looking attacks further proof of how masterful he is at drawing.

I get that your whole shtick is being an edgy troll and baiting people (it is in your name after all), but honestly, what is even the worth of such blatant and disregardable trolling? :D

Shorter chapters are not a problem.
They are for a series that is supposed to have more, with an author who talked about having no time for anything but working at the same time.

Well, but you also misunderstand the point: while the chapters itself quality and content wise are fine, the fact that they are reduced in page count and what caused the page count to be reduced is the problem.

I would like to believe that there is absolutely nothing wrong, I like Black Clover, but honestly, you can't be so delusional to say that weeks where Tabata only manages 13 pages are on purpose and fully planned measures.

Corrected. You're welcome <3

In all seriousness, lets move on from this topic. I'm tired of it. It's strongly suggested and highly implied that a certain fandom is overly defensive.

Didn't know the series had 3 Robins.
Oh wait, that's just Oda's inability to draw different female types.
Okay.

I think the difference is that people have been making a big deal about Hero Academia's page count while not really caring about Black Clover, which has had decreased page counts for the same amount of time (I'm half convinced Horikoshi and Tabata came to some kind of agreement). Or maybe it's because the current arc of Black Clover is way more exciting than what's going on in Hero Academia.

Ice King getting edgy over someone reporting the page count makes no sense, while Sharkbait is a massive fan who lives and dies by hyperbole. I don't think these two examples are a good depiction of the entire fanbase, at least on here, cause that's how fans can be for what they like. BC discussion is very mellow and barren while MHA has more people who react strongly to the contents, like what happened 2 chapters ago. I think that's a better way to describe a fanbase. Strictly going off this site.

This is getting meta enough that we may as well create a WSJ discussion thread discussion thread at this point.
Not actually a terrible idea if it didn't just turn into a flame war of people attacking people they don't like like all these arguments turn into before posts getting deleted.
If it were implementable though it would make the thread more accessible to lurkers using this thread for education rather than losers yelling at each other for their tastes in childrens comics.

Okay.
Erm, the last chapter had a chubby middle-aged kunoichi with pigtails. Also, funny that you didn`t mention Big Mom, probably one of the most unique designs for a female in Jump, especially a villain.

HeroAca has been exciting though I think HeroAca fans have always been divided on whether or not B-Class and characters not named Midoriya, Bakugou, and Todoroki, deserve or dont deserve much screen time.

Volume 3 did not chart, that’d be a big shift to sell 40k next volume first week. Despite having numerous “reprints” now. Looking at shosheki a while i came to a conclusion that every volumes are at 10~20k range

Why would it need 40k to chart or sell more than HZ? HZ #22 charted with 18745 in 4 days. AA #3 didn't chart with 17,141 in 3 days.
AA #4 could easily sell more than HZ #22 if it's as popular/good as some people on here say.

I just realized what the divorce between Funimation and Crunchyroll means....

A possible takedown of USoS clip from Crunchy's channel and no more highlights from future MHA episodes

I won't be able to save Jirou's concert :emocat

EDIT: read the announcement again, and am glad to see MHA will be untouched, but the question remains whether they'll still upload MHA highlights on their channel.
