I was under the impression that Iceemperor was in Japan. But yeah, Ice definitely reads japanese.

I can read Hiragana and katakana and some kanji. But I figured something was off with that tweet since it didn't even have the number 4 mentioned anywhere in that paragraph. That said, we could still see the popularity poll announced the issue after.

Well, looks like that new RWBY manga is joining english jump next issue. I had been hoping it would just go on the free site and not waste space in the main magazine but unfortunately that's not happening.

It feels like they're never going to pick up a new long term series that's actually from WSJ at this point. I'm glad they went for Comiq but I imagine it'll be over soon, and we've still got 2 pretty new successful series they're just ignoring.

Feel like its clear Comiq will end in less than five weeks especially if were already at the climactic battle, I guess that dude in the shadows could one up Himekawa as antagonist but I feel like the writer really wouldnt do that.

Print Numbers for the July-September quarter are out. Here is the progression for this year so far:

18/01-03　1,760,833　
18/04-06　1,750,000
18/07-09　1,768,333

This hardly matter a lot seeing as digital subs are increasing, as Nakano has stated though he hasn't given a number. Still, it is some nice news.

Lol thanks for that. I wonder why MS goes out there way to make things alot more complicated than it really is. I still remember what they did to Twice from MHA on this matter.

Moments like these where he should take a hiatus and really think about how the media can enhance his storytelling. Reminds me of all those articles people write about, how to choose a medium for your story (Comic book, novel, or screenplay).

That page this chapter is an example of a failure.

I won't call for hiatus for any author, even though HxH is likely gone soon. That subject is tricky cause behind the scenes shenanigans could be in play. But seeing that page made me really miss Naruto. It felt like it told you a good amount of everything without making it too complicated. One of the greatest of all time.

I'd say that the page is definitely a failure, but not the way you think. No one can deny that HxH is successful, and many agree that's it's at least good.

But it's definitely failed at using the manga medium, at least in that page. Manga entails storytelling through both textual and visual content, but that page has 5/7 panels filled with just text, and there aren't even any backgrounds either, just black ink.

I would wait for the tankobons even though there's not much you can do with that page lol. Seeing the differences from Vol. 36 and Shonen Jump chapters, the tankobons are a definite way to read hxh

He could split it into multiple panels, increase the page number, and add more art. I dont see how there is "not much you can do" when we have had jump authors add and change things in the volume versions.
