I'm From Japan anime could potentially be an OVA or something of ch 1 funded by the Yamagata government (I think that's where the guy in the chapter was from anyway).

There's been quite a lot of anime funded partly by prefecture or city goverments in the past few years.

That's looking like that may be the case. I wonder if the Japanese government asked Shonen Jump to make a manga like this, and have an anime alongside it. It's not the biggest conspiracy theory out there.

What's up with the Bleach fans these days? Whenever I look at Japanese Jump and affiliates tweets, chances there are like 80% English or SA replies who wants Bleach Anime. Are the remaining unanimated chapters really deserve an animation? I don't really see Japanese demand for Bleach like the west does.

If it was just a single episode special I could picture it gathering interesting after starting but the series is barely 3 months old, surely it can't have gathered enough interest for a tv adaptation and put into plan that quickly (even if it's probably short length eps).

I feel it's the type of series where you just need a few creative minds and you can have lots of filler. But this is just unprecedented. Not even a volume released and an anime announcement for TV already?

In three months, I'm From Japan gets an anime while that one series you love (you know the one) was cancelled prematurely. That's the funniest thing about this series. It's gotta be some prefectural sponsorship or something, Shuiesha has been putting ad space in the chapters too.
