Probably just me but Higuma reminds me a lot of big a WSJ flop which I liked Hitome no Catoblepas (same early start of male MC saving the girl, the girl visits the MC's house in Chapter 2, demon hunting series even if by different powers, the MC designs are sort of similiar, and sort of both laidback and confident in their powers).
