I have a question for you guys: Do you all think it's wise to pair an inexperienced editor with a big name and vice versa? I can see Jump's logic for giving these inexperienced staff members a chance to work with experienced authors, but most of the time, from what I see is that it tends to make the stories suffer somewhat. What do you think?
I own Araki's book "Manga in Theory & Practice" and in this one, he says, that it's better to pair a newbie with an experienced editor, so that they'll be challenged and therefore produce quality content.
I do see his logic in this and kinda agree, tbh. On the one hand, I couldnt tell you what should be done with the inexperienced editors, but on the other hand I dont work for a manga magazine, so it's not my job to know

Call me boring, but I just lean back, read it and enjoy the ride.
