My hero academia I think will surpass Reborn and Toriko in chapter numbers and will reach 450 chapters.
The promised neverland will have 19-22 volumes and end between chapter 165-205.
Haikyuu will end at 36-40 Volumes
Hinomaru end at 27-29 Volumes
Hunter X Hunter end at 50 Volumes with the arc that will follow this one
One piece end at chapter 1200
Gintama ending at chapter 700 just like Naruto and Bleach...or ending in the next serialization batch
Black clover reaching 350 chapters, I can't see it lasting more though
Yuuna will reach 20 Volumes and so will WNL
Dr. Stone will end with 25 volumes
Soma will end with 320-350 chapters

If I'm not mistaken, Kubo did not go there and because of that he drew this. I could be wrong but I remember reading about it.
You're totally right. He couldn't make it to "Lucca comics" and drew these sketches as a way to make up for it somehow.
Thanks for the info!! At least dude can still draw, those were some good portraits. Especially of my boy Toshiro and Rukia.

I don't know why but I don't see Yuuna surpassing TLR in volumes... maybe only if it focus on the three families and Kogarashi as a Yatagahane.

Kubo was also supposed to be attending Magic Monaco as part of the jury for the manga contest being held later this month. However just like with the Lucca convention he will be unable to attend due to health reasons.

I wish people would stop saying Shueisha cancelled Bleach. Based on the evidence we have received directly from Kubo talking about his poor health and his cancellation of attendance at two events it is clear that Shueisha and Kubo agreed to end the series.

Bleach is a shonen jump pillar and even post ending it is still receiving content. The live action movie, light novels, mobile games etc and the manga has 120 million in print worldwide. Why do people continue to compare the series ending to Toriko and Nisekoi when neither of those series are receiving anywhere near the same amount of content post ending.

After witnessing a Naruto vs. Gintama debate regarding their impact manifesting into an actual thing a Bleach vs. Nisekoi seems about right.

They all finished in the same year. End of story.

If I'm understanding this correctly people are saying that Nisekoi was canceled? It was not canceled, no way in hell. XD

I was just using Nisekoi as an example because it ended in the same period, not alluding to it being cancelled. Anyway, on another note I highly doubt that Kubo will choose to create another weekly manga.

I think Black Clover's got a good chance to outlast every current series bar One Piece (and technically HxH but it barely counts as ongoing).

As long as it doesn't go the Toriko route and kill off much of it's popularity in some way there's a huge amount of potential storylines when you consider it's coming up for 150 chapters and we've only seen enemies from one other kingdom out of the 3 surrounding ones. If there's new plotlines and new enemies for each country and the country stuff is just the first saga, it could pretty easily pass the 500 mark.

I think Black Clover is safer than Toriko ever was though personally, the anime I think was a huge part of Toriko's success (being aired next to One Piece and all) so when it ended a lot of people stopped caring, while Black Clover's popularity comes pretty much solely from the manga and nobody really cares about the anime much.

MHA could also last that long but it's in a condition where it probably start the final arc after only another arc or two as build up, but it could also do the american superhero thing and keep having the villains get away for years and years never planning an actual ending.

You really think MHA could end within the next 3 arcs?

Honestly Hunter x Hunter could outlive One Piece. I personally think One piece will end at volume 120 as the first half is 60 volumes. In the event that Hunter x Hunter continues to have a one volume a year schedule it is definitely a possibility.

For the sake of Hunter fans I honestly hope this doesn't happen. I love the series but the hiatuses resulted in me dropping it after the election arc.

It depends on how long the arc will be, but another four years of publication will surely be done.

Black Clover I do not think it will ever reach its levels, for me it will stop shortly after the end of My Hero.

It depends on what the end goal is really. If the final objective is just for Deku to beat Facepalm then yeah, if it started focusing entirely on that side then it'd only need about 3 more arcs. It's unlikely of course (since the school stuff is just as if not more important in the story than the league of villains) there'll probably only end up being 3 or 4 more proper league of villains arcs in between all the school stuff anyways.

No matter how much time they live, one thing is certain, at least for me: it is not going to be a very entertaining era in the magazine. All action series are from average to meh... One Piece will be here for more 10 years, so we will still have something interesting to read if nothing better than MHA, BC and Kimetsu comes.

The aim of the manga is to see Izuku become the greatest hero.

Which means everything and nothing, because it can also show it to us with a flashforward, but three years are missing from graduation school and we are just at the beginning of the second semester of the first year in the manga, not to mention that
the protagonist is still 20% of his power [/ spoiler]

I could see the series wrap up pretty soon potentially in the next 3/4 years (closer to the 3 year mark then the 4 year mark). As of late the school setting seems kind of pointless and wouldn't be to surprised if we don't get a major time skip within the next two arcs placing the series within their third year and it begin its final arc. Also its a given that once the VA is taken down that be when Deku is referenced as the "greatest" hero given how the series is being set up anyway.

Souma should have ended long ago.

MHA is more a school manga than a fighting manga. All arcs exist according to specific lessons. So I don't think it's going to last that long. Anyway, I don't think it can end after 3 arcs either.

I really hope that WNL doesn't follow the example of Nisekoi and extends beyond what is necessary (and I still hope for a less gimmick-oriented romance in Jump).

Neverland... I don't know. If the manga continues to fill the story with new characters and mysteries instead of developing what it already has could end up becoming a mess.

I'm ok with 25/30 volumes for Kimetsu.

HxH will release volume 40 when BC reaches 40 volumes.

WT finished with 18 volumes, right? xD

OP will be alive when all these titles have already gone, but... people will call me crazy, but I feel that at some point the popularity will fall. Not catastrophically, but ... where else Oda can go? I really like the series, but... honestly (that's a cliche, I know) I don't feel the same enthusiasm I felt before the timeskip.

I gave "We Never Learn" 15 volumes because the whole point of the series is to make the girls go to the university they want (and get a boyfriend in the process XD) and they are already in their third year so it can end really quick if you ask me. Nisekoi has 3 years ahead of them and the whole point of the series was that the memories they got in the present were more important than some promise they made years ago. People seem to think that it lasted too long, but it is not that all, that's the whole point, build memories. If Nisekoi were shorter, but would certainly be complaining about why he chose Chitoge, but nobody has never questioned his decision, at least I've never such thing and why is that? It is not only because Chitoge is the protagonist, it is because of the memories built, we can clearly see his decision is solid foundation. XD

I guess I'm the only one who thinks BC could end with less than 25 volumes because how ridiculously fast everything is going.
Take the current fight between Chronos and Licht for example. They just told everyone who the real traitor was and now he is fighting the Magic Emperor.

  • If Chronos dies the title of Magic Emperor will be open and Asta/Yuno could take it, because plot.
  • If Licht dies the main antagonist of the manga is gone.
  • Right now the captain of the Golden Dawn is gone either way (the guy who looked like Berserk's Griffith was the traitor, how shocking) and Yuno will become the next captain, because everyone else in that guild is literal fodder.
  • If none of them die and Licht escapes he won't have anywhere to return to, because the Fire Lion captain is destroying his floating castle.
  • If Licht wins and gets the Magic Stones (Infinity Stones didn't sound cool enough, huh) he can erase all of humanity.
You could speculate which scenario comes true, but this is BC and the most cliche one will come true so Yuno is gonna become the next Golden Dawn captain, Chronos will die to protect the kingdom, Yuno and Asta will be one big step closer to their dream of becoming Magic Emperor, and after that there will be nothing left than to defeat Licht and save the world from the evil elves.

Doesn't sound like something that could go on for over 30 volumes without going 4 times slower than the anime.
