Here I am again, with my KnY anime rants.

I've been looking through Kimetsu no Yaiba's chapters again and I really doubt it will end up on a early day time TV block when animated.

It's too violent, right from the start. A lot of limbs fly off of demons that look exactly like humans for the most part, all the time, and they don't fly off on their own, the get cut with blades and swords and the blood gushes out every time. Decapitation is constant and it is a crucial part of the manga. Blood is spilled all the time, with a lot of brutality behind it.

Heck, in chapter one we get a shot of a group of dead people that were slaughtered, blood is splattered everywhere, on the walls, it's also winter, so the blood will be even more impactful. In chapter two there's another group of slaughtered people with blood splattered everywhere, a humanoid shaped demon gets decapitated by a powerful kick, we have a scene of a body falling from a cliff that gets pulverized by the impact and blood gushes everywhere and we get some axe action as well. In chapter 6 an actual human gets his neck crushed while coughing blood and that's a brutal death.

And the violence goes on. There's too much body horror going on for this to work on early daytime TV, if the demons didn't look exactly like humans a lot of the times, then maybe it would work on early day time TV, but the demons are almost identical to humans mostly, especially their body shapes.

Since the wait for the anime being announced is somewhat longer, I assume when the anime comes, it will have two cours. If that happens, I expect them to adapt around 44-48 chapters or even slightly more. If they do that, the violence only gets much worse. I guess it would make sense to adapt this much, since we would get to know the other characters better and see them shine.

If they decide to adapt until around chapter 66, then there'll be some more crazy violence highlights. If they adapt this much, then we'll also get introduced to another set of memorable important characters, but that can be achieved even by adapting up until chapter 48.

Even as a late night anime it will probably be censored at parts, how much will depend on multiple factors. KnY could air on an early morning TV time slot, for example the one where Nanatsu no Taizai is airing, on what would be what replaced the Nichigo tv slot.

It could also air anywhere between 17:30-19:30

So I'd say Toei are out for sure. But it's still in danger when it comes to Pierrot, sigh.

Kimetsu no Yaiba is not that a big deal to pick great slots like that, it will be airing late at night for sure.

I'd say any Jump adaptation is a big deal.

The way I view things is that an anime adaptation for a manga from the biggest manga magazine from Japan is a big deal no matter what.

People read Darling instead of watching it?
After watching two episodes i dont see the appeal of it, feels like its only generating small buzz because were in a mecha drought.

Anyway. Zorome x hiro is the only reason to follow the series.

I just proved to you that it is not like that. Nisekoi was also late at night and it sold better than Kimest as well. There is a hierarchy inside the magazine, the fact that they are already taking so long to announce one anime already proves that the interest is not that high. I know you are a fan of the series, but don't be a delusional fan. The manga is not the most attractive thing on Earth, liking it or not.

I don't think you understood what I meant. I should've said that in general an adaptation for WSJ is a big deal, do you understand what I meant now?

Toei will not get Kimetsu no Yaiba, relax man.

I understood very well what you said, you said that anime adaptations from Jump are a big deal no matter what, which is the exact opposite of "in general". If you really intended to say "in general" while using "no matter what", you really should review your words before posting.

Relax man, save the rants for when at least the staff/PV are revealed.

Wow, to think I made such a big mistake, I was completely misusing the no matter what expression and I thought it had a somewhat different meaning. The more you know. My bad.

Toei will not get Kimetsu no Yaiba, relax man.
The risk factor is still high, so it's not easy to relax. edit: but at least Toei aren't a risk factor any longer.

or when the anime is actually announced.
You have a point, but I feel like it won't be long until that happens. At least I got this out of the way in advance.

I do not understand all this anxiety.

I mean, does the animation studio really matter?

In the end, the important thing is that the anime be done.

Good or bad it is (subjective) will bring attention to the manga and will make it known to people.

It is important because it is not enough to be known, the manga has to have a good reputation. There are people out there who are known for criminal acts and other who are known for good acts. It is not the same thing, right? XD
Bad animation and bad directing and production are not subjective.

People generally want an adaptation to be fun to watch, and not go at 1 chapter per episode making every shot and pause last an awkwardly long time (toei) or be overloaded with more filler than canon (pierrot).

Are you sure? One Piece and Naruto prove otherwise. Theres a reason naruto is an unparalleled and unrivaled worldwide phenomenon. Its anime formula was/is successful and well received.

I believe that the basic reasoning in the entertainment world is "it does not matter if it's beautiful or if it's bad, it's enough that you talk about it".

The good reputation counts up to a certain point, it is certainly not an anime to affect the reputation of a manga, there will always be people who will criticize it.

And finally, yes, they are subjective. What for you is an adaptive pesism could be nice for others.
