I'm glad Shark is not rooting for my darling Act-Age. :P

I can't tell you must discover that on your own like I did.
You are too secretive, it makes part of some conspiration? XD
The only old way I know about Shueisha and Jump is the way they treat digital material, besides that, I don't see how it can become better, it has the best business model for success, relying on the readers.

Act-Age finally introduced a rival, that's cool. That said, the main character truly needs a psychiatrist more than anything else. Or at least a counselor.

As for the discussion, I kinda liked the lacrosse manga from a while back. Cross Manage? I wonder what it truly needed to work. It lasted 40 chapters so it wasn't an instant failure.

Agreed on Bleach. I agree that it was bad, but I still got a decent kick out of it. FT's last arc is more or less on the same level, and overall I found the ending to be satisfying, with a few exceptions, of course.
I mean, Bleach is my fav series of all time. But even I know Kubo just wanted to finish it after a point. It was obvious in the way it was done.

Dude, I love your posts...but this is very offensive and bad and almost reportable. Tokyo Wonder Boys being both bad & boring is factually incorrect. THe only way your post would be more wrong is if you had said Stealth Symphony.

Demon's Plan had potential if the writer had went the BL route. Actually many of the ended manga would have succeeded if they went the BL route, see BLack Clover for a success story.
I actually put TWB there in that list SOLELY for you Shark xD. Not even kidding. I knew you'd respond. Hah! Who's been baited now!? I was deciding between SS and TWB.
Both are bad, mate.

Since you are talking about canned manga, I gotta say that even though the premise and the power of the protagonist were lame, U19 had a coherent plot progression, cool characters and a satisfatory ending for an axed manga.

It won't me surprise if the author come up with a successful manga sometime in the future. (It won't me surprise if he does not, though)

I really miss these days... Now it is just Black Clover x Kimestsu x MHA and blah blah, kind of frustrating. :gwah
Now that you say this, I have to admit something. This thread is the only place I've ever seen to talk, discuss, or even care for this series. You would you think a battle shonen in Jump lasting over 2 years would have more clout... makes you think. But yeah, it seems like what triggers people most is MHA vs. BC and female prominence in shonen. Hopefully boze at least turns out to be something to change the air of conversation.

The style was not compatible with WSJ. Too down to earth. It warms your heart, but it does not excite you. The same with the author's new work, Ao no Flag. It's a romance, a love polygon, but unlike, I don't know, Nisekoi, in which the goal is trying to make us find out who the promise girl is, AnF is more about enjoying the interactions.

People on 4chan praise Kimetsu a
lot and it's probably the place with the most discussion on it. Otherwise besides Reddit..yeah it's hard to find discussion on it (which is what happened to both series in its serialization round somehow)

How's Yuuna reception? Please don't tell me that japs like WEH over it lol. I honestly would not be surprised going off the sales.

I find it quite funny how Kimetsu has been ignored in mass despite it being from the magazine that always draws the most attention. On top of that, it's an action battle shounen series about demon slaying and action series are what take off the most typically. Only now it seems to be getting more attention, but it still can't really be considered popular, I saw the random Youtuber guy Yonkou give it some shoutouts on Twitter, so some more people noticed it through that as well for sure. ( @yonkouproductions good job, you finally saw the light ;) )

Viz not picking it up for weekly chapter releases is probably what led to this the most? Hard to say what made Kimetsu to be completely overlooked, but the best shot Kimetsu has to get noticed by a large amount of people will be through an anime and this will only happen with a good anime adaptation... Viz licensing it for print releases does make me extra suspicious that an anime is right around the corner since they did the same with Ass Class.

The setting of kimetsu isnt in style anymore as well so theres little to no appeal for it.

Kimetsu is like WT. It didn't have a strong start. When people talked about the series it was more to discuss whether it would be canceled or not. With an anime, just like it happened with WT, the popularity will grow.

The popularity growth was quite bad in the West for WT. I guess that's the Toei effect... Speaking of WT, what will be the fate of this, when was the last time when a manga from WSJ was in a similar scenario and what happened afterwards? Excluding HxH

I can only remember DGM. And it went to another magazine.

Damn, so that's the last thing that was in such a scenario in JUMP was DGM. What are the chances World Trigger ends up in Jump SQ Crown and becomes one of the few regulars from there. Actually now it's called Jump SQ RISE, not SQ Crown...

World Trigger already ended, there is no come back anymore, if it comes back it will be to be canceled some months after.
Besides it coming back to Jump SQ Crow-... RISE, could it be possible for it to go to Jump+?

I like WT a lot, it's a shame that Ashihara-sensei has health problems. If it returns with guarantees from the author to be consistent I think that right now could survive, with Yuuna, Robot and the 2 new series as as cushion, but that's only my opinion. If not, I'd want a not axed ending or moving to RISE like you said.

DGM and HxH are obviously way more special than WT and also way more popular. So their comebacks made sense. I just don't see how WT can comeback and still maintain the popularity.
It should just move magazines, if it comes back.

Because its not popular and threads on it aren't nearly as active as other Jump manga threads but any time there's usually a general discussion on it on the TOC threads there its usually people complaining about asspulls, how its only getting attention due to the JUMP PUSH campaign and how the series its just generic. Its another reason why they like World Trigger over there as well because it doesn't attract "crossboarders" and isn't well known in the west thanks to the shitty anime adaptation putting people off from reading it

I was always a supporter of WT, but at this point it really will have to move magazines. Though that said, even if it takes another year to come back, I can still see it smashing half the magazine in sales at least. Shame because it's easily one of the best series in Jump atm and such nice breath of fresh air. Can't imagine it'll be cancelled, because it does have a large following, it's just not massive.

Why change. WT would still sell more than the holy trinity (dr stone, we never learn, and rxl) and probably more than kimetsu yuuna and food wars. No reason to move.
