I think we're at that point where WSJ has most of the main bases covered so the unique stuff is what's going to stand out and take much of the remaining spots.
- OP, MHA, Black Clover, and Kimetsu cover pretty much all the bases for what you could want in a battle shounen
- WNL and Yuragi cover both the cute/heartwarming and the fanservice sides of romcoms pretty well
- Haikyuu is the big mainstay normal sports series, as well as having Zumou for direct intense action and Soma for alternative stuff (sure cooking might not actually be a sport but the series is certainly structured like a sports shounen)
- Neverland covers the suspense/mystery niche that WSJ always seems to have 1 of at all times
Honestly the big thing they'll be missing this year is gag series. With Saiki basically having ended, Spring Weapon probably getting cancelled very soon, and Gintama ending at some point this year, fairly soon their only gag series left will be Lycopene (unless you count the romcoms). I can see WSJ trying out a lot of new gag series in the near future hoping to get something to fill that gap.
