A low budget studio which was close to bankruptcy at some point. They plan to adapt the first part of the manga which is 17 volumes long. And it's got mediocre staff at best.
Any hope for the anime is dead.

Hundred, Jitsu wa, Days... that's not a good sign at all, they were awful adaptations. At least, Lovely Complex was a decent one xD. And Gonzo also... no faith in this one, but I hope it boost the manga sales.

meh. mediocre Staff......

Im just unsure of the character designs, willing to watch since some of them have done sports.

But overall. Wasnt my top choices for all aspects.

Ay quick question. I was laughing so hard from the commentary of Noah Notes on here regarding the gyaru/professor relationship that it made me think of something: do you guys feel like romance is beneficial to shonen or it’s determental? From a business and enjoyment POV? Ever since Kishi admitted that the shipping in Naruto helped towards it blowing up into a legend I wonder if it’s necessary to become successful for new authors. I’m very aware that stuff can get outta pocket in a hurry (BLEACH ending), dumb, and/or distracting to the main plot but I think there’s proof in the pudding.

I think that depends on the series. Take for example One Piece there little to no romance present inside of it and if there was any it's doing supremely fine though personally looking a Naruto I think the romance elements was kind of a hindrance to the series( not making it a bad series if you enjoyed it) though from what I understand the romance probably could've been removed and not much would've changed.

Record from most late adaptation is by Play Ball: 73-78 Jump manga which got anime in 2002 if I recall well

Gonzo...well, I....could have been worse? Alright I'm not gonna sugar coat it, even at their peak Gonzo has never been more than a mediocre studio and nowadays they're pretty much just a shell of that mediocre studio and just seem to tackle adaptations from properties nobody really wants unfortunately so I'm not getting my hopes up over this being anything more than a low budget advert for the manga at best. Its funny that Zumo will be the second Jump adaptation they've done since Rosario+Vampire, a series that actually kept it a float during their final years and eventually resurrect it thanks to Netflix, over a decade later.

Muhyo and Roji getting an anime is the more interesting piece of news today since that series has been dormant for a decade until recently with the sequel announcement and it opens the door for other Jump series that nobody remembers getting anime adaptations in the future.

Praying for a DBS S2. I watch the dub (dub is awful in general but only series I can watch it) so it won’t affect me for awhile but seeing that Toriyama is writing the script for the DBS movie which sets after the tournament of power saga while the manga is still ongoing gives me hope. I need more Vegeta, 18, and Beerus. They make me happy.

The director is someone who worked in One Piece for years, he's knows a lot of good animators, that's good, the only problem is the studio.

I expect a good adaptation.

That's nice. The manga looks interesting.
It would be nice to see Psyren and Takeshi getting anime.
I hope the adaptation is good and do not disappoint like Houshin Engi.

I can bear with a low level animation, if the animation is on the same level of Days or World Trigger, it's ok for me. My biggest issue with anime adaptations is the pace. If they start skipping things, it's all ruined to me. That's my concern with Hinomaru Zumou and Ahiru no Sora adaptations.
