Tbh Jump manga that I most want to be turned into anime (I'm still surprised it never got an anime adaptation) is Rokudenashi Blues
Oh yeah forgot they did Black Cat!Studio Gonzo?
It's the same studio of Gantz and Black Cat, right?
I expect a good adaptation.

*faints*inb4 Gonzo plans to adapt all 17 volumes in 12 episodes.
Just wait for the GFC winners series.I just want a new gag manga. It's so sad now that Saiki and SW are gone, the magazine doesn't feel the same for me. Lycopene isn't that interesting. Don't fail me with the next serialization round, WSJ. Please.
Takeshi anime would be amazing but highly unlikely sadly.Studio Gonzo?

That's nice. The manga looks interesting.
It would be nice to see Psyren and Takeshi getting anime.
I hope the adaptation is good and do not disappoint like Houshin Engi.
They can skip content and modify it to reach vol17 in 12 episodes. It can be the next zetman.inb4 Gonzo plans to adapt all 17 volumes in 12 episodes.
That's happening in April.Speaking of Takeshi, wasnt Shimabu's one shot debuting this issue?
Sunrise isn't doing Gintama for like two years. It's Bandai Namco Pictures.Figured it, bet Sunrise didn’t expect for the manga to go on for a bit more, the arc as whole is worth at least 3 anime cours

I don't see why there is no color page for Heroaca. They never list Lead color pages in the previews for upcoming issues. I remember when it was explicitly stated that Boruto would get cover while Kimetsu gets lead. Nothing like that is written here. Also holy shit Hori does not like doing color pages if Heroaca is only getting a cover next issue.
Yeah, I was thinking that the two directors might be clue that this is a long adaptation. It's probably either going to take the BC timeslot or it'll go to NHK, but I'm pretty sure that NHK are stacked up for this year, I don't think they have any slots open in any of their channels, but who knows. I pointed out that the last time Gonzo had a two cour anime was way back in 2011. I'm pretty worried about this adaptation, no gonna lie. The pacing is also going to be a huge problem. If this has 24-26 episodes, then it'll be a rushed mess, I know sumo matches are very quick, but this is an adaptation from anime to manga and this isn't real life sumo. We do know it will adapt 17 volumes, with 48-52 episodes, then the pace would be around 3 chapters per episode.I don't see why there is no color page for Heroaca. Also this might be a long running series for Sumou given that they split the Directorial roles. They might put it after BC in that timeslot or, unless I missed an announcement, they might put it after Major on NHK-E. It's become a question of whether they can put up with that grueling schedule and that may be why we have a split in directors. Its just the director, not general director, that I'm not fond of for completely messing up Jitsu wa Watashi wa. That series could have become one of the best rom-com anime this decade if properly adapted. They completely messed up the character designs and overall charm of the series. Its definitely better than anything that's run in Jump this decade. It doesn't help that the character designer also did chief animation director on half of that series.

Doubt HZ gets a fat budget due to 30k/volume.Yeah, I was thinking that the two directors might be clue that this is a long adaptation. My condolence. Houshin Engi welcome its newest member.
I won't say the adaptation is dead quite yet, we still don't have that key visual and I want to see a PV at least. It is looking bad, but I doubt it can be as bad as the Houshin Engi tragedy.

If it has more episode counts, then the adaption as a whole will be shitty.
if it has less episode counts, then the pacing will be shitty.
Not a win win situation here.

The budget aside, because it'll probably just as much as any other anime, they can fully adapt 17 volumes in as much as 39 episodes, similar to Jojo part 4. However, most daytime slots are either 2 cours or 50ish episodes. I haven't seen any daytime anime do something other than 25 or 50 episodes, besides Heroaca and the following two series but that's a different matter altogether, a special of the special case. Its either one or the other. I'd think they'd want to put this on daytime to get as much exposure as possible rather than late-night where only a relatively small group is watching.Doubt HZ gets a fat budget due to 30k/volume.

As in, you can't animate something if you're already dead yourself.Well, Gonzo was definitely the last studio anyone was expecting.
