Ziga 2:
-That woman is going to be very relevant
-The character I'm most interested is A.D.R.A. boss. I think his ultimate goal is good but he's going to do evil to achieve it
-Not much more to say, Ziga has sub-monsters with tentacle raped and crunch, and that gun reminded me to Psycho Pass ones

Noah's Notes 3:
-That Ark Lab group is going to give depth to the manga. Now we can get in the future a geologist, a botanist, an astronomer, etc as or even more bizarre than our Professor
-The Professor has been in high spirits since gyaru-chan attended his ''class'' the other day and became her first student. That's cute.
-Please, don't go so quickly to get a very important piece that directly solves the mistery. PLEASE.
-Pizza history!
-If evil organization knows what Professor and gyaru are doing, that means we have a mole in Ark Lab.
-The mafia. And the arm twist.
-Evil group are the knights templar. And it seems every terrible happening in history was their fault. World Wars included?
-And they have the Holy Grail

It seems Viz doesn't pick Noah's Notes. The pain.

How was there nothing revealed for HZ at AnimeJapan?
HZ doesn't need AnimeJapan, AnimeJapan needs HZ.

No but really, that is weird. Maybe all they had was that live action pv lol. If it's coming this fall, shouldn't they be in production by now and have a PV ready? That other pv just showed off a few character design that's really it, it wasn't a whole lot.

The Knight Templar, major dings against Noah's Notes, why use something so generic and overdone, like a jpn take on National Treasure/Da Vinci Code/Assassin's Creed. Was hoping for something original here :(

Where are these 40 new manga from? This is pretty weird.

Edit: It seems Jump+ is one of the banners, so I guess from every relevant Shueisha magazine.
From every magazine of them be it shounen, seinen, shoujo or josei.

Of course Viz didn't pick it up, they don't make good decisions ever and they are very incompetent, so I would've been more surprised if they had picked it up. When was the last time they even added something from WSJ to their permanent lineup, you may ask? Freaking ROBOT×LASERBEAM, a year ago.

I don't know what the fuck they're waiting for, but they just seem lazy to me, are they waiting for some magical instant hit manga to be added to WSJ? How much will it realistically hurt them to add a new manga, even if it gets axed? They've become complacent it seems.

From a business point of view, I just find it difficult to believe that in the viz markets...act age would make waves in sales and to some extent noah's notes.

You people complain about things way too early, Noah's Jump Start just completed and Ziga hasn't even finished it's Jump start yet. Viz rarely picks something up instantly, unless one thing is a massive hit with the readers they always wait for the batch to end first, and sometimes they wait for rankings.

I'm not saying they must add Noah's notes or Act-age necessarily, but seeing them not do anything for over a year is pathetic. They could've added Bozebeats or Jujutsu if they only trust action manga, but they won't even bother with that much. If these get axed, how much will it realistically hurt them? Come on...

Yeah, but they haven't picked up anything from WSJ in a year, this just seems lazy to me. Edit: It's not like their lineup couldn't use some new manga.

Weekly translation isn't cheap, and there hasn't been any series that would have been worth the investment.

Even the Edited Mangas of the newer Jump series have had pretty mediocre receptions.

Darn no wonder WE Never Learn is so unfunny, the writer learns from one of the worst shows on TV. I hate BigBang so much.

You shouldn't judge things like that based on your own opinion because your own opinion is clearly biased and unique.

They picked up 3 series at one time just over a year ago (that are all still around), and everything else since has flopped immediately. If they had picked any up you'd be complaining about them making terrible choices of what to keep.

Of course, they don't have the resources... Not really the best excuse, since Viz are the largest manga distribution company in America last time I checked. I doubt picking up a manga that potentially gets axed would cause them so much trouble that they couldn't stay afloat. Do they really know how to judge things well enough regarding investments, if they decided to pick up series like Red Sprite and Love Rush fairly quickly?

If they make bad decisions, of course I'll criticize them. They skipped over Kimetsu no Yaiba even if it was obvious it will stay in the Japanese magazine for a while, after some time passed, they could've picked it up when it was at around 30-60 chapters and catch up with Japan. But of course they gladly went in for things like Red Sprite and Love Rush, which both started later than Kimetsu and both instantly flopped. At this point, I think their lineup is fairly weak when it comes to weekly manga and they could use more things, so they should just bank on some of the newer manga, since they've done it before with Red Sprite and Love Rush and it doesn't seem like they suffered such financial losses that they couldn't keep going on.

Do you really see people at this point in time on the viz reading site as well as elsewhere in viz markets talking or discussing Act Age or Noah's Notes in a manner similar to that of BLack Clover back then...exactly. For being different than the usual thing in the magazine, neither are even as definitive as TPN was.

To be fair, nothing since RxL has been worth adding though... Scum one after the other. There's very little reason for them to add a series so early in it's life unless they're sure it'll be big in Japan as well as have an audience here. From a business perspective they may as well wait until chapter 20-30 and see how Japan receives a series' first volume, even if they do think it'll be big here.

They've actually been pretty on the mark with what they pick though. Early digi jump days they added MHA & BC close to when they began. Yuuna & HZ were never going to happen, and Yaiba was on death's door for quite a long time after it began, so again, can't blame them. Then 2016 happened and they lost like half their series, so they just added an entire round (TPN, LR, RS) to make up the page count. Lost 2, but luckily for them the 6x round happened with triple successes, and they were pretty big right off the bat, so easy picks in their situation and it worked out well for them since they all stayed. And now their lineup is stable. I imagine it'll be a very long time before we get something added instantly after its Jump Start unless it's a big veteran like Kishi or Matsui or we see stuff ending (which I can't see happening to any of their series right now). There's literally no reason to. Picking successes early is actually something they do well, it's just if things start looking up for a series that had a poor start, they're incompetent at getting it over here in a reasonable time frame.

Useless, they clearly do whatever they want and pick things with their own "great" decision making and "sharp" intuition.
Less is nothing. We don't have anything to lose filling the survey.

I would like to ask for some people like Yonkou, Henji, or the people who are active in Twitter to tweet about Viz weekly survey and Noah's Notes. Maybe it doesn't do anything, but ey, maybe Viz sees a lot of surveys asking for adding Noah Notes and they do it.

OK then, I'll just be optimistic and hope they add things later. :derp

Of course they added TPN, LR and RS, they were desperate since so many things ended, but of course even with this desperation they refused to look into Kimetsu, which after a while it was clearly not on death's door, especially because of all the big manga were finishing left or right. At least Kimetsu had larger chances of staying in for a long time instead of LR and Red Sprite and they really could've used a new action series. If I remember correctly, they took their time even with BNHA, which was obviously an instant hit and something that would stay for a long time, instead of just instantly going for it. They also decided to ignore Haikyuu.

What I should be doing instead is wait for a big veteran to come with a new manga and then I can predict for sure what they'll get.

They got the whole batch of Red Sprite, Love Rush, and Neverland because a bunch of big series had either just ended or were about to end and they desperately needed stuff to fill space. Even if 2 flopped right away they fulfilled their purpose of making their magazine not feel empty after the loss of Bleach and Nisekoi.

Now that Neverland, WNL, Dr Stone, and RxL stayed around they don't need to fill space any longer, so there's no point in them picking up anything that's not a huge success. People like you just whine whenever they pick up a flop (and even when they don't pick up flops now I guess). Their continued avoidance of Kimetsu is certainly odd but it didn't exactly have the strongest start.

Otherwise all their choices from the past couple years have made sense (except RWBY but I feel like that must have been a Rooster Teeth sponsorship or something rather than Viz's choice since none of the magazine staff even liked the series, going by comments in the Podcast).

Also they didn't ignore Haikyuu at all, they've been releasing multiple chapters of it a week on their free site for a good while now. I'm assuming that's so they can add it the the main magazine when they eventually catch up though I don't know when that'll be.
