We never learn is making waves. I guess the popularity poll helped.

Oda's interview from English Shonen Jump
What's great about this is how he changed his speech bubbles in the manga so that it's easier for other languages to get their texts in. That's something many would not even consider. It's definitely something a manga as big as OP does not need to consider.

Shiibashi Oneshot was basically Twin Star Exorcists... Wasn’t impressive in the slightest :mad

Sounds like something only a series as big as OP would need to consider, you can bet the editors want every overseas sale they can get for it.

I remembered, years ago, a guy saying: "On a weekly schedule, HxH would be a YYH 2.0 and FMA a Naruto with braids."

That's actually something Mashima did as well when FT started getting more popular. It's nothing unusual. I think most of the magazines right now are taking a more global-minded approach. Something like this is small, but it helps. I'm pretty sure Horikoshi started doing this when it was confirmed that MHA was getting an international serialization.

Also, about that "teens react" a couple pages back.... I really hope Horikoshi saw it too. Since he probably knows enough English passably, he should probably get what they're saying. I know for sure he'd cry of happiness (and blow up the vid count like Deku does with All Might's debut video).

Hears baka gaijins can't fit their cumbersome letters into speech bubbles, so he changes the shape of his speech bubbles.

Good guy Oda.

I thought you were joking with that comparison, but....wow while and after reading its all I can see. Worst still is some scenes she looks like Benio.

Design wise I do prefer Arama Hoshi over Rokudo but Rokudo with the bed hair is superior. Could have changed it up by making Gyokyujo male instead atr the very least.

OP with breaks would be just OP with less arcs, and less arrogant fans.

Seeing Sakuragi, in what other WSJ series do the characters cut their hair or change their hairstyle? Dragon Ball did this with Yamcha, Bulma and Gohan all the time. But the only ones who did this with the MC, I think were I"s and SD. Yusuke sometimes changed too. Silly question, I know.

I always had a question, if the editors had let the authors do what they wanted, would we have better mangas?
for me the editors are here just to be paid without doing anything and without risking anything.
