I think it could honestly surpass MHA in sales based solely on the fact that it has a wide audience appeal.
There's no sense for Toei to pick Neverland or Shueisha to offer it to them lolCool.
I'm already preparing myself for the amount of "It's not your typical shonen" I'll have to read.
PS: get out, Toei.--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---
They were A-1 Koenji but they're still their subsidiary. Besides the change of name to give a more individual identity, it's the same studio that worked on Darling in the Franxx, Slow Start and is working now on P5A so they're not really new. They are very very new so we might have a Golden Kamuy on our hands however they worked on FRANXX which while its not a good show had some impressive character animation and the tone fits the first arc of the series well so we'll see.
For sure, but at the same time there's plenty of productions of Aniplex without A-1 involvement which is actually the majority. Outside of A-1 which is their subsidiary, they work with Shaft for a bunch of projects too.If the production company is Aniplex, then the chances of the studio being A-1/CloverWorks increased by a lot. But let's see if he tweets about it, if he doesn't do it, does that mean he isn't really too sure about the details?
The official anime announcement will probably happen in a week or two if I had to guess, maybe only then we'll find out the what the staff is.
So we know it's Aniplex that is producing the anime for sure. But that's it for now, right? It can be any studio. The rumors about CloverWorks really seem to be nothing more than rumors and they weren't even started by Yonkou. For sure, but at the same time there's plenty of productions of Aniplex without A-1 involvement which is actually the majority. Aniplex is mainly linked to A1, since that's A1 is their Studio. Since it's being produced by them it seems that it'll most likely go to A1. I believe people are predicting Cloverworks because that Aniplex's new sub studio, and it would be huge if they had Neverland attached to itSo we know it's Aniplex that is producing the anime for sure. Pretty much everything that's through Aniplexs animated by A-1 circa 2005 because that's their subcontract studio everything else is just license distribution that's more or less revealed after the series studio is revealed. Not everything from Shaft is distributed by Aniplex either. For sure, but at the same time there's plenty of productions of Aniplex without A-1 involvement which is actually the majority. I-its fine. Th-that doesnt count
.
Pretty much. We can take off Ghibli and Toei as they lead their own committees though. PA Works doesn't do manga adaptations and KyoAni has never been attached to Aniplex (and has also lead a few of their committees lately) so they can probably be eliminated as well. There's probably some other studios it can't be but other than that the sky's the limit. So we know it's Aniplex that is producing the anime for sure. But that's it for now, right? Thank you. I'm not sure why people think Aniplex is on every production they're not. The reason why A-1 was created is solely because they wanted to distributed their own original in-house anime. You only see the Aniplex label on titles they license before 2005 with a few key exceptions (Kill la Kill, Valvrave, Devilman Crybaby etc.)I

There's a lot of Aniplex stuff post-2005 that has nothing to do with A1. Just off the top of my head Angel Beats, Charlotte, Yuuna, most the Fate stuff, the Monogatari series, Kill la Kill, Rewrite, SAO GGO, Working Cells, FMA Brotherhood, Durarara, etc.Pretty much everything that's through Aniplexs animated by A-1 circa 2005 because that's their subcontract studio everything else is just license distribution that's more or less revealed after the series studio is revealed. I was about to point this out, there's a ton of Aniplex anime that have nothing to do with A-1 Pictures. There's a lot of Aniplex stuff post-2005 that has nothing to do with A1. Idk about most of those. But with Kill La Kill and FMA I believe Aniplex just distributed those series. They had no involvement on making the series. With FMA I even believe it’s just licensed by Aniplex of America. Meaning the box set are released by Aniplex in just AmericaI was about to point this out, there's a ton of Aniplex anime that have nothing to do with A-1 Pictures.
Aniplex own all distribution rights to all Fate related material since the DEEN version which was made before A-1 was a thing the same with SAO in which they did animated but own intellectual properties to all its animated incarnatios. Aniplex is a licensor they don't have to be animated by A-1 in order for them to be owned through Aniplex same thing with Bandai Visual and Sunrise. Anyways let's just wait for more information to come out.I didn't say that. I said that while Aniplex is part of the committee in A-1 productions since it's their studio, they're also part in plenty of others without A-1 being in there. For example, just in this year they have outside of A-1 as part of the committee:
After the Rain
Devilman Crybaby
Fate Last/Encore
Emiya-san Chi no Kyou no Gohan
Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online
And when I cited Shaft, I didn't mean that they're always together but that between the studios outside of A-1 which is their own subsidiary, Shaft is the one where they are more together be it with Fate Last Encore, Monogatari series or Madoka Magica.

I mean, I'm not disputing the fact that Aniplex anime can be made without A-1 or that those made without them aren't owned by Aniplex but that a Aniplex production can be made without A-1 (or now, Cloverworks) like in other cases.Aniplex own all distribution rights to all Fate related material since the DEEN version which was made before A-1 was a thing the same with SAO in which they did animated but own intellectual properties to all its animated incarnatios. Yuuna is Aniplex: http://www.aniplex.co.jp/lineup/anime/yuragisou/Yuuna is Pony Canyon.
Fate and FMA were all licensed by Aniplex before A-1 was formed so they still held them regardless
Aniplex owns all animated distrubtion rights to SAO starting with the first series in which A-1 animated.
Angel Beats and Charlotte is also apart of the Key anime license they had before A-1 was formed.
So out of all those examples only three are new licenses from the post A-1 era.
