Older series usually actually had shorter chapters I think, it's just that some re-releases combine multiple chapters into one.

Kinnikuman still ongoing but at the same time looking like it doesn't (nobody follows it, no Edited Mangas or chapter raws, etc) makes me somewhat sad.

The Kimetsu PV didn't really show much. They managed to make Tanjirou work in motion, so it's looking good.

Here's the updated list.

* These were the chapter counts for these manga when they had their anime adaptations announced.

World Trigger - 60
Boku no Hero Academia - 65
Haikyuu!! - 74
Nisekoi - 76
Yakusoku no Neverland - 87
Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san - 88
Black Clover - 91
Shokugeki no Souma - 93
Assassination Classroom - 97
Kimetsu no Yaiba - 112 - NEW
Hinomaruzumou - 175
Saiki - 194

* These three are the likely next candidates for anime adaptations and these are their current chapter counts:
RxL - 59
Dr Stone - 60
WNL - 65

It's weird to think that we might be seeing anime announcements for these really soon. If I had to guess WNL will be the next one to get its announcement but Dr Stone could also have an early anime. With RxL it depends. I think at least two of them already have anime in the talks or in the early development stages.

* Let's look at what else WSJ have at the moment. Well, it's only new manga from 2018 and none of them seem to be doing particularily well, at least not at the moment:

Act-Age - January 2018
Jujustu Kaisen - March 2018
Noah's Notes - March 2018
Ziga - March 2018
Momoji to Kisetsu - May 2018
Invade You! - May 2018

For 2018, there are probably two serialization rounds left, maybe three. At the moment, the three series from 2018 so far that have the higher chances of staying around for the future are Act-age, Jujutsu Kaisen and Noah's Notes, but none of these have had the most promising TOC placements as newer series and they could all very easily get cancelled before they reach 4 volumes.
Act-age had decent sales for its first volume and it might grow, it's not impossible and we've seen it happen before, but the chances are low and the back to back release for its next volumes might be a bad sign for this series. As for its TOC placements, well, they've mostly been at the bottom and the same goes for Jujutsu and Noah and for these two we don't have any volume sales data at the moment.

Ziga seems to be on its way out already. I don't have high expectations for Momoji or Invade You, but best case scenario they can both do surprisingly well.

Maybe WSJ is really confident in their last serialization rounds for this year? Who knows. They might have a veteran coming back... WSJ really need some new promising titles, maybe we'll get something right at the end of the year or... nothing.

Are there any authors you'd like to see for the last serialization rounds of the year, old or new? I'd like to see both new and old authors that try to create some good new comedies for the magazine. I'd love to see a truly amazing comedy.

This is my problem with one-shots. You never know what's going to happen.

Actually wanna see them let act age live longer to get a fanbase, the main character has got to be the most adorable to come out of Jump in forever. Japs want wife material out of their heroines anyway, shoot your shot Jump.

At this point Jump just needs to beg Moue to give them the Galaxy Gangs serialization they desperately need. Or just revive Ole Golazo.

i dont think lasting longer has actually helped series like spring weapon no 1 or hinomaru zumou for a longer term example *grow* a fanbase though. so its doubtful people will someone turn towards a longer running Act-Age, especially since the nature of Act-Age content does really enable some type of *shocking development* to make people turn to it. Whats she going to do, get a hollywood role? Whoop de doo.

Yeah that’s fair shark bait, but the first volume sales were, for all said, good. I mean after 2 weeks. The art and character designs are deff nice to look at, while the premise can at least go on for 100 chapters. Can’t hurt cause I doubt anyone can confidently say any of the Jump Rising won’t get dunked soon.

More time would have saved Best BLue and Demon's Plan.
