Man what a higher print-run would do yo you since Heroaca 19 had been ranking higher than Haikyuu 32 on most retailers since it came out and still is as of now but Haikyuu edged it out again due having a higher first day. Shueisha is probably kicking themselves for cancelling Robot now.

For act-age to be getting a reprint when its selling around 15000 copies on POS and probably somewhere there on Oricon makes me wonder just how little they printed. Sure we don't have the full picture from Oricon but its reliable enough. Did they really expect to cancel the thing that quickly?

Hasn't there been a single group interested in Momiji no Kistesu?

That's why I hope Momiji doesn't end up being the one series to survive from the past half year, Viz isn't going to bother with a shogi series and probably nobody else would remember it much until it got an anime.

I'm totally confident Momiji will be 2018 Jump biggest hit. Deserves it, a very good manga.

For me Jujitsu will be the greatest hit of 2018.

In before Momiji becomes the new Hinomaru Zumou, the one manga everybody overlooks yet keeps up the quality

For now, Jujutsu will be the greatest hit of 2018. I think the only thing that can change that is Kishimoto's new work.
I hope Momiji and Alice survive.

How would every rank all the new series, now that we're halfway through the year? Based purely on their first 3 jump start chapters (2 for Alice I guess)

1) Act-age
2) Jujutsu Kaisen (intro felt very early Bleach, quite nostalgic)
3) Invade You (I thought it was a cute and silly romcom intro, could probably do well in another magazine)
4) Alice & Taiyou (feels more Magazine maybe than Jump but I like that the drama isn't too draggy and doesn't bring down the fun stuff)
5) Momiji (it was decent enough, the girl is cute, but shogi is a bit lost on me)
6) Noah's Notes (I like the premise but felt like it was trying a bit too hard to be quirky, and the leads just came off as rather annoying as a result)
7) Tanaka Seiji (I feel like this series hits everything it's going for pretty well but I don't know, it just kinda bores me for some reason)
8) Boze Beats (first ch did have some good impact to it but it was way too info-dump heavy, there was so much dialogue that just filled space)
9) Ziga (first chapter spent too long on scenes of nothing then some quick action that was just a bunch of shock value and ch 2 and 3 didn't add anything)

I feel like the new series have been better on average so far than last years rather than any being stand-out or amazing, which is probably why there's such weirdness with the rankings. Most of them are just decent enough to maybe become a mid-ranker for a bit but none have that 'big hit' quality.

Jujutsu is decent and feels kind of like Bleach with its tone and characters, and people have wanted a proper Bleach replacement ever since it ended. The hole Naruto left was filled immediately by MHA (and I guess Black Clover too but it feels more like Fairy Tail to me) but Bleach ended without really anything having a similar feel.

Sometimes 'not bad' can be pretty good if it's the kind of thing you're looking for in the moment.

I feel like I'm the only oddball who is not hyped with Jujutsu Kaisen, I've bing read it last week after putting it on hold for so long; its not bad but I dont see the charm to it must of you guys do
Jujutsu sticks out because everything else is so boring or just alternative for alternative sake. In any other round it wouldn't look very impressive.

You're right in that it does feel a lot like Bleach but the art is nowhere near as stylish.

Why does it need to be a replacement? Before Naruto, Bleach and One Piece people probably didn't think of a new manga as a replacement to whatever else ended. Jujutsu is it's own entity, not a replacement. People should stop doing this, at least in my opinion. If you think it's similar to some other manga, that's fine.

To add to that. Some people take the whole replacement idea too far and end up being disappointed that the "replacement" manga actually goes in a completely different direction that what it's "replacing". Then they complain because it's not the exact same thing.
