I don't think an anime movie will give the manga sales a boost. I can see it happening with a live action(just like Ass Class), but not with an anime movie.

Toriko had a movie in 2013, the year WSJ pushed it so hard with covers and whatnot because of said movie and game. But the sales just kept declining. From 2014 onwards, you could see that WSJ moved on from Toriko.

Then there was the KnB movie last year based on the extra chapters.

Speaking of Jump manga that got movies.
Someone posted some old ToC's last week and one of them had Ninku: Second Stage on it.
I was under the impression that Second Stage only ran in Ultra Jump. Was this a proto Steel Ball Run situation where the series didn't do well in WSJ and got moved to Ultra Jump? Also when did Second Stage begin and end in WSJ?

I fucking love Ninku and always wanted to read Second Stage. Always hoping it'll get an anime remake.
