To be honest, I've always thought that the black clover anime has always had a slow pace in general from its first episode to the present.

The time slots are planned months in advance for anime. Iirc the ratings weren’t very good at all. But even if they were good there’s no way they could have suddenly decided to expand the production to 50 episodes after seeing the ratings of the first few episodes. It was always going to be 50. The source that told us 13 was either just wrong or just putting a placeholder number

I think Funimation listed it as 13 episodes for a few weeks and normally if they don't know how many episodes a show will have they just list the current amount of episodes (now they have it as 51) so that may have made people think it was scheduled for 13 episodes.

A guy on youtube is implying that Black Clover was initially announced for 13 episodes. But after the first few episodes they greenlit 50 episodes, possibly due to great ratings.

I know I'm super late to the party (thanks busy season at work!), but Invade You shot up super high in this week's TOC. I saw the comments about the story seeming like it could end next chapter, but why move something so high that's about to end which had previously only had its highest rank as 4th-last just to ax it next issue? Just when I thought we were finally getting Jump Invasion to go along with Jump Awakening lol

I also hope Alice to Taiyou can move up a bit in a similar fashion to how Act-Age was at the beginning. My only issue with it is that I wish there were some lyrics to go along with their singing rather than just showing that they're performing

I wasn't responding to you specifically I was just explaining why that might be the case since he's not the first I've seen say Black Clover was planned for 13 episodes.

Issue #42 will be out officialy septembre 15th (sathurday). So tocs will be out september 12th (wednesday).
Issue #43 will be out officialy september 22th (sathurday). So tocs will be out september 19th (wednesday).

In two case, its because the monday (17th and 24th) will be public holiday in Japan.

Will be the same for #45. Out officialy october 6th (sathurday). And tocs will be out october 3th (wednesday).
