As an intellectual Jujutsu Kaisen fan I find it great to watch the Boku no Hero and Black Clover fans discuss page counts.

This chapter was finished weeks ago before he took his break. The next few chapters will be a better indication of Hori getting back to 17p again but if not its probably nothing serious.

This is true. Caleb (MHA translater at Viz) was already translating ch. 203 (which isn't out yet) when ch. 202 just came out. So ch. 203 was already done.

I don't know when Viz gets their hands on chapters but in Jump the author have to submit a finished chapter at least 2 weeks before publishing.

Now Boku No Hero truly has everything

Game, figures, spin off manga, light novels, movie, cd drama..., and now live action movie

Only thing missing is actual comic book version lol.

If the MHA movie turns out decent it could actually e huge since the Superhero genre is huge inHollywood right now.

I would say this is probably one of the easiaer shonen that could be afapted because it's based around superhero, but someone could still find a was to screw it up

At the end of the day, it'll be a superhero movie made in Hollywood. There are plenty of superhero movies to draw inspiration from compared to other anime live action adaptations.

If they have to do live action inspired by the manga that take more serious and realistic stories.

The manga will end before this movie will be out, not that early imo.
From announcement to premiere:
Dragon Ball - 7 years
Alita - 15 years
Ghost in the Shell - 9 years
Death Note - 10 years
Also, MHA is by the same studio that's working on Gundam live-action, I'll say a least 10 years to premiere.

After giving this some thought, it could definitely work as a live-action, but I would be more at ease if it was Disney/Marvel that snatched it up. Personally, I think they're the only ones capable of grasping MHA's core. Much of MHA's influence was based on Marvel's works (with a dash of DC), so if they were the one that got the rights, then I think they would be the ones to truly "get" MHA's core.

Also, I don't mind if they don't try to replicate the character's likenesses.......... There. I said it. This is mainly because much of MHA's cast are based on typical hollywood archetypes in teen dramas. You have the shy awkward nerdy kid, the girl next door, the straight-laced student with borderline OCD, the jock bully, the emo kid with daddy issues, the rich and genius of the class, two goth kids and the party animal/social butterfly.

They could be played by any actor, and I wouldn't bat an eye whether they're being played their original ethnicities or not, so long as they keep their characters intact. But I do of course hope they'll still have a good mix of asian actors/actresses thrown in, such as Tsuyu.

It all depends on the priority of the project and the studio. You guys can't be comparing apples and oranges.

Plus there's lots of examples of movies fast tracked to capitalize on a wave of popularity.

Something recent would be the Attack on Titan movie that came out two years after the anime was released and had a fast production to capitalize on the series wave.

Imagine if Deku end up being a DLC character in Jump Force, and Asta a character in the main game(no DLC).
